FF looks like it has great graphics that will rape your system. The graphics quality is leagues ahead of the art style actually. If they wanted they could lower the system requirements, keep the same art style and not rape your computer. (Also open up a to a greater market)
GW2 on the otherhand, seem to have art style and graphics quality at a desent synch. The models look a tad blocky but it blends well with the enviroment and other aspects.

Most important part of the graphics are fluent annimations...
That will decide which game has the best graphics.
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
Or it might be time to upgrade and see the difference in full effect
using the same logic
wow graphics >>> all
my punches are as strong as kicks
How about we play both games before we start comparing graphics. Besides as been said before fluid animations are whats most important.
It's no secret that ANet has a number of the best art designers in the MMO gaming business.
GW looked already spectacular and its graphic art top of the bill when it was released.
From what I've seen so far from GW2 they're still exceptional.
FFXIV graphics looks good. But GW2 graphics look awesome.

If you want to talk about graphics, then I prefer Guild Wars and it's more realistic western style.
If you want to talk about animations, Guild Wars is also the winner here with very smooth animations.
When it comes down to style, I think GW is trying to be a bit unique, but I prefer FF's armor and clothes.
Finally, boiling it down to performance, there is no doubt GW2 is also the winner. This is one of Arenanet's strong areas, they have very good network stability and resource management. It will also be able to run on low end PC's without a problem. I tried to run the FF system spec's test thing or whatever... and well, I didn't get very good results. My computer isn't top notch, but it is definitely far over average, and I was disappointed to find out I would have a hard time running FF.
FFXIV and ABP are next gen graphics, if your system isn't up to par, yes ofc you are going to be disappointed. But saying that game X is better because your own pc handles it better, meh. Anyway this all repeats itself with every next gen engine. GW2 doesn't look bad though! And tbh personal taste matters, meh, not what your neighbour thinks of your taste or how expensive it was.
Like I said, my system isn't state of the art, but is also far from being labelled an average system. I'm rather talking about the argument in the case of which game is more accessible to users, the game where you go up a step and need to upgrade your rig, or the game that keeps it to a slower growth rate. Clearly one is going to win over the other.
