I’ve played the free trial to 10 a couple different times and thought it was a decent game and reasonable fun to play, the trigger to buy never went off.

try the free trail and see if you like, it just didn’t grab me not because it was a bad game, bugs, or anything like that, it just didn’t fit me.

Not worth the money, I tried the game myself for about 3 weeks and ended up having major problems with it. First problem is nerfings. What nerfings? Nothing has really been nerfed.  They made all the mobs hard to kill. They didn[object Window]t make anything hard to kill. If you[object Window]re a careless idiot, then you[object Window]ll die, and if you do group content solo, you[object Window]ll die, but if you[object Window]re doing solo content, it[object Window]s very balanced. A good amount of challenge. Every time you get shot by a mob it is a 1shot kill if trying to do missions solo. In group the 1shot kill is not there. Completely false. Even at the lowest level, you never get 1-shot. Completely false.

PVP is a joke everyone cheats and was quite suprised that the devs and even the CSR folks actually supported the cheating.  Again completely false. I[object Window]ve played this game since launch, and I have never seen a single person hack, or cheat, or whatever you want to call it. I can see the mentality of being a bad player, and always dying to better players, and thinking they[object Window]re cheating, but that[object Window]s if you[object Window]re 12 years old.

Talent tree is only 13 points, they did this to make every player weak. The 13 points is true, but the weakness part is false. If every player has 13 points, and the game is balanced around having 13 points, how is every player weak? That[object Window]s like saying, [object Window]since WoW has 41 points, instead of 500, every player is weak[object Window] .

Learning curve is very steep. Completely false. There[object Window]s a tutorial where it teaches you everything about the game. The learning curve is not steep at all. It takes a while to master the game, but it[object Window]s extremely friendly for just picking up and playing.

I would not recommend this game to a casual pve player or even a causal pvp player. But if you are a type of player that is hard core and likes to play on a gankfest server and love to cheat and use ingame exploits then this game is just right for you. The cheating again is false. I don[object Window]t know what[object Window]s meant by [object Window]gankfest server[object Window], as like that[object Window]s saying a PvE server in WoW is a gankfest server. The only times you PvP, are in PvP. This game is very casual friendly. Although at level 5(starting level after tutorial) you only have 1 or 2 talent points, while the max is 13, you gain no stats from being a higher level. This makes it so a level 5 can play effectively with much higher level players, but the higher level players will have advantages due to having more talent points. The advantage is by no means huge, the main difference between low and high level players is experience, and knowledge of how to play the game and their class.

Its a pretty decent game, just dont let yourself think it is a full fledged mmo. There are some PvE zones with your standard quests that you can do to get some better weapons and gain some levels early on. The PvE at the beginning is your standard Red vs Blue teams with various objectives per map.

The classes are pretty diverse and fun, if you have played Team Fortress 2 you will recognize the classes pretty quickly. They can be customized based on what you decide to bring with you. For example the Engineer can choose to bring more turrets or drones or shields or whatever you want to be effective.

Its a good game, and with the fact that its always going on sale for around $10 you really have no reason not to try it.

This game is infuriating if you are a seasoned FPS-Player. The main pvp mode is 10vs10 mercenary which give you modes that resemble traditional FPSs like breach/assault, domination, king of the hil or payload.

With the way classes are balanced you are very dependend on your team. It ususally comes down to which team has less totally worthless players, not which team has the most positively outstanding players.

For example If you are the frontline assault you need medic support to hold a point that has enemies around and your teammates need to clear enemy turrets and dispensers. But often nothing of that happens. Somehow those players also don't learn from their mistakes.

I am by no means a FPS god but seeing the same people jumping into enemy turrets like lemmings and losing the match makes me hate this game and go back to Team fortress 2 where a single good player can make a much bigger impact.

    some people don't like it..

i've been playing since beta and i love it, pay for the game once and play forever.

but why come to the forums to ask? you'll just get yes and no answers..

just download the free trial and try it yourself, only way you'll know if its for you

    For me personally:

    Pros:

    - The game runs great, gameplay wise and graphically speaking.

    - It's so easy to pick up and play, really THE game if you are waiting for another game and have no game to play atm (Which is the downside of this game as well).

    - I love AvA, it's such a great aspect of the game. Really brings a clan/agency together.

    - Great bang for its buck.

    - It's fun with friends, it's a lot of fun.

    Cons:

    - Not that much content if you are a solo player. To experience the full game, an agency is a must.

    - Not enough customization in terms of skill tree, and gear. Almost all high levels look the same, and have the same builds.

    - It is THE game while waiting on another, meaning, this will never be my 'home'. I know a lot of players think like this, so the playerbase always shifts and it's hard as an agency to keep players.

    - Solo, not so fun.

    - Game was/is advertised wrong. Game is by no means MMO. Matches are max 20 pax (10 vs. 10), it is smaller then most shooters are.

If someone wants to buy this game, I still have 50% off codes for you if you want. My advise, look for an agency asap, as it will greatly improve your experience.

    Edit: Forgot a con.

Yes, although to be fair - it is an MMO, and a team based game. If you want solo content, play an offline game?

you CAN queue any of the pve missions solo however, and you can solo the entire outdoor "sandstorm" expansion area.

    - Not enough customization in terms of skill tree, and gear. Almost all high levels look the same, and have the same builds.

The game is based on "silohuettes" - so you can tell in the thick of battle which player is a recon, which is a medic, etc. That said, there is plenty of armor and dye customizations. I dont find that all players look the same, unless i turn off the "show dyes" option (which is off by default i believe).

As for gear, you can place "mods" into your gear (and weapons) to specialize in different things, so i find there is a LOT of customization for gear/weapons... mod for damage, or power use, or AoE resist, or Range resist, or more health, etc etc,... in fact, Modding your gear appropriately to fit your preferred playstyle/build is one of the things that seperates a good player from a bad one.

As for builds, I dont know how long you played but every class has a few viable builds and roles, and even more tweaks for personal playstyle:

Assault - Tank assault, AoE assault, Melee assault, Inferno cannon roamer assault - all different builds with different playstyles.

Medic - Full healer spec, poison spec, combat medic spec and melee medic spec, and a general spec for survivability - all different builds and different playstyles.

Recon - Sniper, bomber, melee, SMG spec, etc etc - all viable, all different

Robo - General survival spec, Gun spec, Drone spec, Station spec, etc etc - again all viable and all very different playstyles.

    - It is THE game while waiting on another, meaning, this will never be my 'home'. I know a lot of players think like this, so the playerbase always shifts and it's hard as an agency to keep players.

    - Solo, not so fun.

I'm sorry, but it IS an MMO - the matches may be 10 vs 10, but when you are in an agency doing AvA, you are fighting for control over persistent territories, and there are hundreds of skirmishes happening at the same time. Control of the territories grants certain benefits, and your agency can win the map for the season.

It may not fit your "traditional" definition of MMO (which most people think "MMO = WoW style") but it certainly is "Massively Multiplayer Online"

If someone wants to buy this game, I still have 50% off codes for you if you want. My advise, look for an agency asap, as it will greatly improve your experience.

You made some good points, and I am by no means a fanboi of the game, but i felt the need to correct your "Cons list" as a lot of the info you presented was just wrong, and probably established after limited playtime in the game.
