Will there be gay marriage?

Since GW2 will probably support marriage and player housing, I was wondering if there will be gay marriage. I think it's only fair and the players deserve equal rights just like in real life.

I don't know if your being sarcastic or not, since no one discussed either of those in gw2. After glancing at gw2 player housing on google says there will be that, but dosnt say anything about player marriage. I would gather that player mariage is just a afterthought with no kinda ingame features supporting it. I know alot of mmos have LGBT guilds in them, and im totaly for it. Being an active homosexual I like the idea of being able to partisipate in-game without being discriminated against.
Homosexual marriage is a hot topic right now in are world. There are lots of countries starting to allow it and I fight for it everyday. Its not something that I take lightly really, its very pasionet and delicate subject. Thats why when the op brings something like marriage up in a mmo, Im not sure if this thread is even realistic and serious. It feels more like Im being ragged on personally. I just want people to know that its not a discriminating thing or racist thing when people talk about there sexual prefrences. Its people progressing forward with life and loving ones self to the fullest. Really the best place for this is in the casuel side of things I think. ITs much more relaxed and friendly when there isnt any tension between hetero/homo. Just walking through life theres so much hate/racisim/discrimination/bigoitry/persecution/unjustness/cruelty/unhumane ideals that people are set in stone with that its hard for subjects like this not to arrise. I personally belive that this is why there are groups that speak out in the first place.
gays could only get married in certain cities if it's going to be like RL. lol
If you want to talk about player housing and same sex marriage look for another game. The Sims 3 would have that.
I'm straight. Can I bring up straight marriges and straight things every 5 seconds. Do you want seperation of straights and gays with big signs over buildings in the game to?
No need for marriage in general in games. Why? Because quite honestly gay or not you want true equality then you get dissed just like every other middle to lower class person.
When did you start playing "old school" MMO's. World Of Warcraft?

Thats whats funny, everyone whos part of some sort of minority wether it be race, religion, sexual preference, etc all have an attitude of "we're the only special ones, we're the only ones who are allowed to get any sort of special treatment, special organizations, allowed to talk about it constantly and have "pride" in it"... yet at the same time contradict themselves by crying "we want fair and equal treatment".
When the last time we saw a straight pride parade? The gay community would likely throw a hissy fit because of course being proud of being straight isnt as important as being proud of being gay, or is somehow detrimental to gay pride.
Just like with races. Black & brown pride everywhere, special organizations which discriminate against anyone outside of their own race (which is supposed to be illegal, yet if they enforced it against such groups like they do with whites,omg imagin the shit storm some idiots would cause), special funding for education, medical care, etc etc all perfectly acceptable and expected.... but if you happen to be a white male, especially a straight one youre pretty much screwed and have to actually do everything for yourself without special assistance because apparently being white automatically means youre rich and well educated and couldnt use some help now and then.
I live in a state full of illegal immigrants, and these people who are not even citizens of our country get more help from our own goverment than any natural born white citizen like myself gets. But yet theyre oh so proud of their own country, flags everywhere on cars, clothes, etc Yet if i were to say, get the german flag and white pride painted on my car id probably get mobbed.
How about we have a white pride parade? Oh but that would be offensive to everyone else and they would line up in droves to protest it, while planning their own pride parade.
Now I know, theres gonna be the people who didnt bother reading the initial warning, and of course are offended and will start with the im a racist/sexist/etc and other hateful remarks based on assumptions from what ive said above, but just to give you a clue before you start. Several of my closest friends are members of the gay community, i have attended gay pride parades with them, gone to some of the local gay bars, restaraunts, etc with them many times. And while i myself am white, i do have black family members (including my sister in law and nephews and nieces), nearly married a black woman, and am currently dating a mexican woman. So no, im not any of the things you would likely assume from the comments in my post, i simply dont agree with all the special treatment crap, and all the complaining and am not blinded to reality and how hard it actually is for many people who fit my own profile. We have just as much shit to deal with as any other group of people. It may be about different things, but we still struggle just as much as everyone else.

Anyway back to the OP. Most likely not if they even do implement marriage. Though if its something you would like to see, i suggest posting about it on the official site and trying to get others as well. Perhaps with enough demand for it they will consider it.

The only reason it's shunned is because gay people don't know how to keep their business to themselves. They gotta make everyone and anyone know about their private business. Well when 2 converging ideas, one popular, and one unpopular collide, the unpopular idea is going to get chewed and spit out.

Should there be gay marriage? I'd say most people don't care either way.
Does this game need a human centipede option, yes.
Why not. I vote characters should also have to eat, urinate and deficate like in real life, they should grow old and die just like in real life. They should be able to catch diseases, some fatal, like in real life. They shouldn't be able to pick their appearance or gender and instead should be forced to accept whatever genetic crap shoot the random character builder picks for them, just like real life. Or maybe, just maybe, people should stop trying to inject real life bullsh*t into fantasy escapism.

I don't care one way or the other if the game does feature gay marriage. However, I really don't think any kind of marriage will be making an appearance in this game.

Really, do we need a mechanic for things like that between players? In a solo RPG game like Dragonage or something I can see the point but in a MMO? The only advantage in a MMO is that you share house which a loose mechanic for could have some use (even if GW2 wont have that.
¨GW2 have many great features and I can think of a lot more fun to add but this is just a waste of work that players themselves will roleplay anyways.

Oh yeah and I'm pretty sure ppl aren't ready for that kind of commitment.
I mean online marriages... that's pretty intense. It would give players a lot of responsibility.

Seriously, firstly just because you give a warning doesn't mean you can say whatever you want, and secondly just because you conclude by saying "I have black/gay/this/that friends" your points are not validated.
On the topic of the OP: it would be interesting to see it happen, just because I want to see the real life drama over it. not to mention the in game protest and picketing of the afformentioned players' guild halls/houses.
/Is going to get some popcorn and laugh at the drama that is sure to visit this thread.
I suspect it'll get locked eventually, being a touchy subject that it is and very inviting of trolls and flames.
