As the title says, what's the longest you or anyone you know has subbed without actually playing? My record is 2 months on a few occasions with lotro, wow and aoc.
I guess WOW. The last two or three months I was subbed to the game I did log on long enough to say hi to folks and run a BG session or two, I did this maybe three times a week. I dont call that playing really but I dont know if hat counts to your question.
WOW isnt great because it has 12 million players. WOW has 12 million players because its great.
going on 4 months in eve and i dont see it changing in the forseeable future. i station spin and actually trained up some trade skills now i just marketwhore. in 0.0. i make pretty good isk too but umm... im pvp spec and the game is ubersuck right now. i wish i got a betakey to world of tanks instead of lotro lol. From the looks of what im seeing, I will GLADLY pay 15 bucks a month quite possibly alot more than that if i like the game and see its worth supporting in its early stages. I am so eager to jump off the bandwagon of EVE its not even funny. Just to be rid of it would be a blessing lol
Subbed without paying? 0 months for me. If a week goes by without playing, I cancel immediately.
Same here. I'm chea- I mean frugal like that!
I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.
A month to both WoW and AoC. Mostly because I wasn't sure if I was going to return or not to play it on occassion. Usually I cancel the subscription to MMOs a week or two after I've lost interest in playing them.
I think that's about my max too. If I'm anticipating a busy month or 2 (usually the summer) I don't sub at all. If I notice I'm going more than 4 or 5 days without caring to play I'll quit for awhile.
I got a friend who has the StationPass and pays 2 other subs just to keep his accounts active, even tho' he spends most of his time now playing stand alone games.
I consider that madness.

At least 6-8 months in EVE, where I was just setting the really hard to gain skills and playing something else. At some point I realised I was just *that* bored with it, and decided it wasn't worth staying subbed to if I was just doing it to let timers run down.
On the bright side, if I ever return, my char has maxed out learning skills (to make future times shorter) and drone interfacing rank 5, so my Domi will resume smoking the competition. I had a lot of really high skills on that guy.

As long as you're training a skill you're not wasting money.

This is just some rough math so if I'm off, eh.
But 5 bucks a month a year is 60 bucks, and for 6 years that'd be 360 dollars that you just noticed?
That's one helluva night at a stripclub gone.
