The Wedding : SWG + Eve Online

What a close to perfection Sci Fi  mmorpg would that be :

- SWG pre CU for planet interaction

- Eve Online for planets exploration

These 2 gems melt into 1 could be so sweet it's not even funny.

Tomorrow maybe

Or never but one can always dream.

I could see this but I actually liked the SWG space game. What would be cool is a hybrid between the twitch combat of SWG's space game and the clickfest that is Eve's combat. You could have twitch combat for fighter-sized ships and Eve's current system for bigger ships.

I liked swg space combat  better than EVE.

Let's just hope if they do this they make a whole new game, because I know alot of galaxies space pilots that would be really unhappy with that maneuvar.

    ^^^ this

have twitch controlled fighters and bombers and keep the current cotroll system for the bigger eve ships.

Bear in mind Big ships cant be moved like a fighter.

Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981

If you adopted SWG's movement system it might be pretty good.  I always hated the movement system in Eve, but if you could control your ship via WSAD then it would be vastly improved.

All men think they're fascinating. In my case, it's justified

As others have said, JtL's twitch combat was a million times more entertaining than EVE's snooze-fest of a combat model.

I agree that it would be a great game, however I don't see the relavance with SWTOR.  SWTOR will hardly resemble either one of those games.

Eve-Online will always be the best scfi game on the market, hands down.

    SWG + Eve...no

    SW + Eve..yes please.

I always dreamt about commandeering a nebulon-b frigate or a corellian corvette or even the MC80 Calamari cruiser.

Eve already have the mechanics in there, just need to reskin and remodel to the SW universe.

And why twitch combat in your x-wing or TIE-figther when you can command capital ships...image
