There is/was a poll on the main "Home" page here that was asking what type of char do you like to play. So the options were some thing like "Human, Elf, Orc, Troll, Gnome, Dwarf, Dragon etc.", and the results were that people picked Elf and Human (by quite alot) compared to the rest.
Now with this in mind do you think that in WoW there are way more Elfs and Humans than any other race?
I did think of this when I first started playing that if you were to add up all the chars in each race, would some races heavily out number the others? Hey what do you guys think?

So with this said do you think the Elfs and Humans have an advantage over the other races, in terms of numbers? Same applies to Alliance Vs. Horde, most people, im just guessing, will go Alliance. Which will out number the PvP side of things...
But saying that when I was in OB I never saw any evidence of this, just wondering if anyone has...

Can't really say what the most played races are on the horde side. New players will be drawn perhaps most to the undead, then tauren and trolls. Orcs have sort of a negative image as being the bad guy footpads if you're coming from any other fantasy background than warcraft. If yer a warcraft fan, however, the most likely races are the orcs and undead. While playing ST and OB I didn't see much of a balancing problem between horde races. All seemed fairly abundant. I'd say the most played alliance race by far are the night elves (although I find them to be a bunch of pansies), with humans, dwarves and gnomes tied for second (as in I saw as many of each of these).
THat's one of the things I find fascinating with WoW, The Horde is, IMHO, not really evil in WoW.
At least that's the conclusion I drew from WC 3 (Have not played the expansion ) The reason The Horde and Alliance are enemies, are more due to Human prejudice than anything else, so you might even say that the Alliance is the bad guys in a sense here.
Severally off topic; I can sincerally recomend you read the book "Evil by Necessity" It really turn on the common views of good and evil. Unfortunately I don't remeber the Author, tho it was IIRC a woman who wrote it. I guess I'll have to ask my "library" miss Silvertail (Not a member here AFAIK), and ask her if she feels like lending it to me again

I'm the opposite, I like playing humans because its something I can associate with. Playing a dwarf or gnome is just something I can't get into, I'm the same in every MMO. Its actually why I won't play Asherons Call 2 - I used to play a Human Defender in that game, as a healer type, until they removed the ability which replenishes your vigor and put some shield buff in its place. After that, my 'healer' was crippled, and the only other healer type was some weird race, which I wasn't interested in. I didn't like the other options for Humans, so I quit the game.
Personally, I think every class should be available to the Human, simply because we're such a versatile race, coming from a wide variety of backgrounds. Why can't we play Shaman in EQ or WoW? Did they never hear of the American Indians and their shamanistic tendencies?
Like any Fantasy MMORPG, there's always a majority of humans and too many elves.
What can we do? Elves are cool looking. And who can resist making a sexy female elf girl just to see how they look and most likely play with for a long period of time.
Especially the female night-elves in WoW... bouncy boobies!!! OMG!!!! Press C to look at the character stats... once in awhile the cute Night-elf girl hops in the air just to make her boobies bounce for all you female night-elf lovers.
But it's normal really, whenever someone wants to play a MMORPG, they always want to be the good-looking hero (or heroine). Not everyone wants to be known as "the bad guy".
I'm a bit of the opposite though, I like not being what everyone likes to be... which is why I'm part of the Undead and have a killer looking zombie-like Priest. woohoo... but that didn't stop me from just creating a sexy night-elf just to see how they look like.
So if any of you meet a sexy Night-elf by the name Catherine, DON'T FLIRT WITH HER or else I will break you... that's me dammit. lol

Hooray for midgets.
I chose the gnome for two reasons:
1. It was strategic as when in OPen Beta, I ventured over to the Barrens and hid in the bushes. Being a rogue, I need all the help I can get keeping concealed. It kinda fits the roll too; I think.
2. I'm a human in real life. If I wanted to fight, I'd just head downtown. Too general for me. I want to be something different. I think the human will be the last race I make actually; if I make one at all.

I personally don't care much for the Nelfs in WoW, they look kinda... In lack of a better word; Gay
Also I dislike their flash-light eyes and mile-long eyebrows. Maybe Loreal could learn a thing or two from Nelfs.
