Hello everyone,
I have been playing MMO's since the age of 9 and I am now 17. As you can imagine I have played quite a few in the 6-7 years I have been playing.
I dislike 99% of FPS, I hate console gaming. MMO's are the only games I truly enjoy.
In the last month or two I have been very bored, I'm not sure what MMO to play because all the ones I have played I sorta give up or got to the best level....
I was considering goiing back to WoW, the only reason I stopped was because my old PC went down and I didn't bother to re download when I got my new laptop.
I have got to one of the highest levels on Runescape.
I have played UO for to long!
and I have played many others..
I don't mind paying a monthly fee, I don't mind having to buy a disk or paying for a digital download, I just want a game that will keep me occupied for a while.
If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very thankfull.
I've downloaded, DDO but I can't create an account because Turbine is having problems, I also wanna play LOTRO but its a Turbine production so the same applies (I cannot yet play either)
I am currently subscribing to Asherons call and tbh I'm not that impressed. I have tryed AIKA online, played it for a few hours, got bored. Played Fallen Earth for a good 2-3 hours, got bored of that also.

Well, if i were you i would go back to WoW (inc, trolls&haters !), especially with cata coming up, which will be awesome, obviously, i used to play WoW myself for 5 years but i am now on my WoW break
, which i take every now and then.
you can try some trials too ofcourse, Darkfall, Champions Online, Global Agenda (even tho its a shooter, you might find it interesting...)
just try some trials out, return to WoW, or wait like the rest of us for SW:TOR, TERA, Guildwars 2 (or FFXIV....) or Rifts ofcourse..

It might not be what you're looking for, but if you enjoy pvp I would check out Warhammer's endless free trial. It's a good method to decide if you want to subscribe and it's a pretty entertaining game considering you don't play it 24/7 and burn yourself out.

try guildwars or global agenda. global agenda is a shooter but it's not like your average FPS. they both have a trial.
Thankyou for both of your replies, I'll give Warhammer a go and I plan on giving Guild Wars 2 a good go when it comes out.

Wurm Online.
Fallen earth might work. MMO shooter but not any "hardcore" fps system. Trial is out.

I'm looking at some videos on youtube, this game seems nice.
I'll try this if I don't like Warhammer online. To the other guy that replied, I did say in the thread I have played Fallen Earth and didn't enjoy it.

A lot of people are waiting for something good to come along, either sick of or don't like WoW, underwhelmed by the major releases of the last few years, and not willing to play F2Ps that are usually crap and not worth the time investment.
I know I am.
The next well made, non-shallow, non-"F2P" grinder, will do very well indeed. Sci-Fi or fantasy, there is a lot of pent-up demand in the market.

Aion is worth giving a try. The population has stablized. The faction balance is improving. They just released the first expansion this week so content has improved. There is more quests, improved exp gain and better drops so much of the grindy nature of the original is gone. The trial is by invitation only though and it is very limited. Flashy graphics, but very grindy, especially past level 25 or so. Basically it is a P2P korean grinder.
