So, I just got into the game and I have to say, the intro quest... WOW. That was by far the coolest into quest I have ever played. This was quickly followed by credits, which I thought to myself "Great... =(" Only to realize it was like watching an amazing anime. The begining to this game blew my mind... ok... off to kill more stuff =P

I agree 100%!
So far I am very inpressed with this game. This might be the first FtP I will stick with.

I felt the same way. Got into the aciton almost instantly. The introduction was unexpected and thrilling.
Playing now: Cities: Skyline / Ori and the Blind Forest / Banished
OK cool looking game and the action looks fast paced, but did she really ask the spider..."Are you hurt?" LMAO! Is she serious? The spider had been sliced, diced, and pierced and then crushed by a huge bell. "Are you hurt?"
Thanks, that wet my appetite for now
I thought it was really cheesy, too. I have to say though, that despite some little things, I think this game is really cool.

Voice acting is really good in this game considering it's f2p.

Enjoyable so far!!
Agree 100% Best intro to an MMO, why ? Because it had full voice acting, nice cutsence, a flavor of action, combined with source engine and a remote possibility of a storyline that will have cutscenes in it.
So far -> love the game and the action
Not much of an MMO. It's basically Diablo... except instead of battle.net you have a small city hub.
It is a pretty good intro though.
Wow. Except alot of cliches this intro was really nice. Im really pumped for this game
I will be playing Dragonica till they lift the ip block for us eu players

I totally agree with the OP. I only played through the first mission so far, but am amazed at the level of finish already in the game and the the shear fun of combat.
One of the best starting experiences in a game I've had and I'm old.
Not usually a fanboy,but... well, see for yourselves.
Yeah very nice intro, when i first saw that girl jump in front of the balista i wasnt sure, i tought i had just load Final Fantasy. But the game turned out to be ok. Controls are a bit akward at first but you can change them. Played a good 2 hours and it was fun.
Tried the DL again, worked great. No problems.
Booted up and messed around with the opening intro. Very unique and entertaining.
I got a little moment of "wth?" when the intro stopped and they were showing credits of the team. For a second, I thought that was the whole beta, lol!
After the credits rolled, I realized that the opening reminded me of a television show and lasted about as long as one without commercials. I liked the familiar novel approach to starting this game.
So far, it's a fun little game and reminds me of a DDO mmo Light. The beginning instances has a heavy feel of AoC's city dailies in the Noble District. Good little thing to waste a few hours on as it is fun and the combat is really cool (breaking all the stuff is pretty neat), but it wouldn't be my main MMO.
Anyone who hasn't played it yet, give it a go.
"TO MICHAEL!"
The intro was indeed impressive and fun the first time...but I doubt I'd do it again as it seems to be the same intro for every character and there's no advantage to be gained by doing it again especialyl sicne you can't skip cutscenes onyl the whole Intro...but of course tha tis onyl based on the two characters available.
Fony's take
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
That intro may very well be the best part of this game. Yea, I went through that intro and like all these other people I was blown away by it.
When you actually get in the game and notice that it is almost completely instanced. You get transfered to different channels against your own will, and where are the NPC?
I go in the shops and it shows a picture of a person I am supposed to be talking to instead of an actual npc.
Now I only got to level 3 but the intro honey moon effect is starting to wear off. Hope it gets better when I hit higher levels.
As far as the combat and graphics in this game. Very nicely done. I think I will continue to play this just because of that.
"When it comes to GW2 any game is fair game"
Yeah. I don't like the storyboard NPCs. At first i couldn't figure out how to get out of the damn buildings and I don't understand the fact that these spaces are instanced when its all storyboard.
But I do enjoy the combat and from what I have seen of the higher level stuff and the mage character that is coming, I like the game so far.
If it ever stops with maintenance every two hours.
I know right. I have been trying to log back into the game so I could try it out with my gamepad. Looks like it will work really well with a PS3 controller and they have a set up for you at the start up screen to configure one.
"When it comes to GW2 any game is fair game"
I loved that intro, but it froze on me the first time through and I skipped it the second time. I set it up for xbox controller because it showed that when I went in to advance controls configure. Works like a charm with the xbox controller. And while it does take some getting use to with how they handle npcs, quest, crafting and party play. It does so for the sake of bringing about white-knuckle action and stunning visuals through instance zoning.
I love how the exp scales with every new person who joins your party and everyone gets their own loot from drops. The channel changing does pop up quite frequently, but it's not an issue for people in the same group. Well off to play a little more before work. Overall good action mmo in the tradition of PSO and Warrior Epic
"Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, great minds talk about ideas."
The tutorial level was ok, the intro cinematics was deffo better than most games, but the opening credits themselves psych me up every time I see em.

Makes me feel like I'm sitting in theaters, waiting for a new epic movie like LotR to start.

Ug no offense to FF players... but this game actually runs without 50% of it's base having problems. The two games should not even be mentioned in the same sentence. I was / am in the FF beta and this ftp is blowing that AAA title out of the water as far as I am concerned. The intro quest, how the credits are presented, even the voice acting is so smooth it's almost silk in Vindictus. The prelogue in FF is an attempt to just shove the basics of the game to the player so they can start the game, Vindictus feels like the prologue is part of the game not just something to get out of the way.
This prologue wasn't about killing 10 boar and talking to my taskmaster, or killing 3 vicious wolves and talking to the wounded passenger. This wasn't about running from point a to b. This was about saving the oracle from werewolf looking monsters trying to eat both you are her. It was about stopping a maddened guardian from destroying a town. It was about being completely visceral in your attempt to carry someone wounded over your shoulder while still kicking, yes kicking, your way through numerous heads of mobs because you can't use your sword and carry your charge at the same time. While FF may become a huge success and people may love it, this intro blew the competition out of the water. There is no comparison. This game reminds me of oblivion with updated graphics, mixed with aspects of my favorite snes rpg's, mixed with the best of dungeon crawlers, and still manages to be a unique MMO experience.
