Can't even start the game or the patcher???

in Final Fantasy XIV

Hmm, went and bought the game today, but now when I try to run it I just get an error message from windows that the program has stopped working.

Running on Vista 64 and run as admin. Anyone know of any known problems like this? I tried to launch from inside the map as well, same problem. Also I tried to launch the updater from there but nothing seems to happen when I do that.

Please help, someone :) is there anymore information I should add?

 

edit: Have an ATI 4890, and I searched around a little, seems like a lot of ATI-card owners have problems with this game. Installing latest drivers now, we'll see how it goes.

edit2: Before that I tried another fix, launching through dos-promt and forcing it to use only on CPU, that didn't work but was an issue for others.

edit 3: Duh, updating the drivers worked, sorry for this post...
