EVE game time card question

So, lets say I'm on the trial for EVE (I'm not on the trial quite yet yet), can't use a credit card...so I instead use a game time card to continue playing. 

 

Would it still charge me 20 dollars from the card for the "full" game? Not charge the card at all, and I have to manually buy the game with an actual credit card? Or will I be able to just use the time card and keep playing?

 

Hope that made sense...just woke up a minute ago :P

CC is NOT required to activate the turn the trial into a full account. Just use the GTC to pay for the game right from the start.

Ah okay, thats good.

 

But I guess what I really wanted to know. If I use a game card, will I lose game time on it, since I still would need to buy the full game?

Back when I activated my account the first time, I used a GTC to buy the game, and it still gave me the time from the card.  Kind of a loophole in the system that lets you buy the game for $5 cheaper.
