I haven't played any today, but rather was downloading the closed beta of Iris Online.
Error message got me, perhaps because I was watching a video while downloading songs and was playin around in GIMP while talking to friends on MSN and Aim.
I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.
LOTRO today ...has been LOTRO every day for the last year.
Can I ask two personal questions?
1) How many hours a day do you play, each day?
2) What about LOTRO makes you play for more than a year without getting burnt out?
I am not asking for my normal reasons (MMO business) instead I actually want to know bc I am envious. I wish I could play the same game everyday for years. The only time I could was when I didn't play very often, was a teenager, and UO and EQ were the first MMO's ever made.
If being a developer means being quiet, mature, well-spoken, and disconnected from the community, then by all means do me a favor and believe I'm not one.
"Every time I think I'll get out...they pull me back in!"
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
Probably Warhammer. T3s been strange fun mini-skirmishes lately on my server.

1) On average I play 1-2h a day if I can because I am busy with Uni and Work but if I have time off I can easily sink a whole day into it ((as sad as that may seem))
2) There are a number of reasons I have been with the game for a year
a. I started and play with my best friend
b. The community is great I have met a lot of great people during my time in lotro
c. The Lore
d. I love to explore the world it is really beautiful
e. There is so much to do, crafting, and running skirms, running instances, grinding rep and grinding deeds((or levelling alts))
f. I like the casual nature of the game; I do not feel the rush to get the best gear in the game asap.
g. The RP community in the game is great...many player run events.

Missing playing with the people my old corp is what made me go back to Eve after a half year break. I played with them for half a year and made some great friends at the time. Now I'm planning on keeping my Eve account active even if I don't feel like playing for a few months, so that I can log in and see what's up with them anytime I want.
The things I highlighted in yellow are to me some of the main things that can get me to stay with a game for months if not years. Lots to do, all worth doing, all fun to do, with great people to play with, in a sandboxy world where our teamwork is what it takes for us to survive - is what can keep me in the same game almost indefinitely. We had an outpost in a wormhole that required a lot of upkeep and defense. Keeping it all running together can be a lot of fun.

Weekdays it's LoTRO. On Saturday and Sunday (when my guild raids) and other days when I can find a good group, it's EQ2.

Darkfall for me, as well. Played a little Dead Frontier today also, and it's pretty fun.
