Quick question about Vindictus and PDM

DRandomDRandom Member Posts: 35

So after trialling Lotro and finding Pando and deleting it (also deleted Lotro) I read that Vindictus also uses Pando Download Manager. And I am checking to see whether the game will ship with it or not.

So does Vindictus use Pando Download Manager?

PDM is something I put akin to malware and therefore I would refuse to buy and play the game if it does come with it purely on principle. Don't care if you think I'm an asshat for that, I just stick to how I feel about such things.

I believe the first installer uses PDM, but the Manual Download doesn't. The link to the Manual Download is posted under "Option 3" on the Vindictus download page.

Right, so I registered and I go to download and I find Pando has snuck its way onto my system again.

Where do I get the download from on the main page once I've registered so I don't have to install it with that crappy peice of malware?..

Edit: nvm.. found it in the options. (I F*CKING HATE PANDO DOWNLOAD MANAGER!)

Hehe I hate PDM too, it's a horrible download manager and it downloads a lot more than it should, for no reason. I wouldn't be suprised if it broke any ToS or EULA, but unlike GameGuard which broke Microsoft's EULA, it hasn't been discovered yet.

Like, just go into your control panel, add/remove programs and delete the crap?

    Just a thought...
