Hi,

This week has mostly been dedicated to the planning for the next expansion and since this is ongoing, unfortunately there's not much to report. While there's been a lot of work done on the expansion already, this is the time where we realign our entire operation towards it. There have been a lot of meetings on features, time-frames, and how this final push is going to be structured. We'll be able to start sharing details once planning is finalized.

On the human resources effort, we're excited to have a new programmer added to the team, his name is Michael and he started this week. We've been interviewing experienced game developers for the past few months in order to strengthen our team so it can better handle the hard work we have ahead of us.

We're still working on bug fixes and we'll be patching them in sometime next week. We also have another patch in 2-3 weeks which should include, among other things, a much requested feature having to do with character development. If this feature makes it in, we'll let you know what it is in our next activity report. At the same time we're also working on a very big project that has to do with server management and monitoring tools.

The art department is working on new monsters to expand on the Hellfreeze expansion, as well as on improving old ones. They're working on reworking buildings and props. They're also working on calibrating the motion capture and getting usable results from it.

There's also new lore up and new events being planned. I'm sure that if you've been following our blog and social media activities you've noticed some very cool exclusive content and screenshots. There has been a steady stream of game related content being posted and shared in the past week. We'd like to thank you for the support you're showing our efforts on facebook, twitter, and the blog and hope you'll continue doing so as this gives us more options of communication with the community.

Darkfall boxes will be launching soon in Russia, there are plans also being discussed for North America and Europe as well. Finally there seems to be great interest for the game across Asia and we have people over there looking into that. More details about all this as soon as we have developments.

That's all for this week, thanks for reading.

Hm....part in red is the interesting part. I'm looking forward to the next Activity Report.

No news regarding the environmental sounds which where suposed to be patched in "shortly after the June 2010 expansion"?

Yeah I've been wondering about that too. Seems most players have forgotten about it and AV decided to either delay it or simply put the feature on the side. I'd have taken Environmental Sounds over Terrain Update, personally. At least the Sounds improves the immersion and adrenaline rush :P

There are a few clans and players from Asia playing on the NA server ( I believe most are on the NA server at least). But is it enough to release a new server? I can't say for sure. That being said, it's likely to be the new server they talked about.

There is this patch in 2 -3 weeks, if the "feature around charecter progression" don't make it in what would it include ? I think we can expect the environment changes to be included.

Given that this feature had been announced already, I'm not exactly sure why Tasos wouldn't have mentionned it, it's not like it's a suprise anymore no?

Either way, I like the direction the game is going and have been having a blast playing the game at it is right now.
