anyways i'm just glad to see the yankees lose.... and the red sox for that matter. Gotta wait some more for cleveland to get back to the playoffs
and as for the world series, my money is on the rangers, the giants are good but i dont think they'll be able to win against cliff lee (ex indian btw) and the heavy hitters on the rangers.

I guess I was thinking back on that thread about Tim Tebow. I remember you saying you didn't know who he is nor did you care. It kind of gave me the impression that you're not much of a sports enthusiast. When he was in college he was about the biggest name in college football.
But you're a Ranger's fan. Congratulations on their first World Series appearance.
Mr.Dolan will not allow the Indians back (and I am a Tribe fan also BTW). He will not pony up the required money to take care of this team. I miss the Jacobs days.
Money can help but but if you pay individuals who are talented but self absorbed you don't have a team. The Rangers found this out with Alex Rodriguez. They are still paying him $25 million to play somewhere else.
The last couple of years, the Rangers have been paying individuals who are talented and team oriented. This has made the difference. The Rangers are a Team, not a club. They will be individuals when it's contract negotiating time.
On the other hand Jerry Jones still hasn't learned that lesson.
Yes, but teams like the Indians have become farm clubs for the Yankees, Red Sox and a couple of others. If the Indians were willing (or more importantly could afford) to keep the guys they developed look where they could be. CC Sabathia, Cliff Lee, Victor Martinez, etc. They go through this cycle every 4-5 years because they develop young kids and the minute they are eligible to enter free agency the Yankees are throwing money at them like it is nothing.
I understand the Yankees and these other big market teams play within the boundaries set by MLB but it is by no means fair to the majority of the clubs in baseball.
And yes, there is something to be said for team chemistry which I believe the Rangers have. And when you get too many superstars you have a lot of egos running wild in the locker room.
And as for Jerry Jones, as a transplanted Texan who can't stand the Cowboys or their fans it does me good to see them struggle like they have.

Actually that didn;t make me stop liking sports- just made me stop liking overly egotistical full of themselves Jockstrap heads.
You know not all athletes are like that. There are some who are quite humble and realize they have been given a gift and are thankful for that. There are just as many CEO's, doctors, attorneys, etc. who think too much of themselves.
I think it would be safe to say this whole quote string is full of mis-communication.
