I don't post links much or start threads much else but their next mmo was really what I had been looking forward to.
Gonna be a long wait. Lol!

Isnt it supposedly meant to be an mmofps?
TSW - AoC - Aion - WOW - EVE - Fallen Earth - Co - Rift - || XNA C# Java Development
Just wondering, where you expecting it sooner?
Common MMORPG develop cycle's often are 5+ years, so it seems pretty on route with the norm. Wouldn't suprise me if it might only become closed beta in closed beta if any beta at all by that time.
Obviously not counting the way Cryptic handles their OMG's developing cycle's.
Yeah I remember hearing about this about a year ago but I've never gave any thought to it. I agree it's a long time and I wish they would never tell us about games 3-4 years before it's release or said release I would rather never know about it then learn about it the day it comes out but lets hope it's worth the wait I don't think it will be but hey everyone has been wrong before.
We're talking about announcing it in 2012 and knowing Blizz having a few more years past that for release and we've already known about i for years. We're talking a decade plus here.
This is blizzard. They take their time developing a game and releasing at the time THEY want, which is usually when it's the optimum time to get most people sucked in.
Given wow is still #1, it won't be a good marketing move to release another mmo for blizz. They waited around 10 years to release SCII, just imagine how long they are going to take for a new IP.
Probably another 5 or 10 years and we'll be ready for an announcement date.
Why would you think sooner? they still got 12 million WoW subcribers and new expansion to milk first.
It would be somewhat ironic if that was the case as it would be a repeat of the leadup to the launch of WoW and EQ2.
I'm going to guess that this new MMO won't see a release before 2013 though if Blizz has given 2012... they never release within their estimates.
seriously was looking for a blizzcon announcement this year then a release three years later
oh well.
Just when you think you have all the answers, I change the questions.
I'm guessing an announcement in 2011 Blizzcon and then another 3-5 more years of milking WoW before they release the new mmo. Job opportunities have neen popping up since 2007. It has been awhile now they have been working on the new project.

Blizzard releases new content and easily the best expansion packs in the market. They are not milking the game.
It isn't difficult to be the best when the majority have no clue. Got milk ?
Blizzard milks the shit out of WoW. We'll have been raiding one dungeon for the last year when Cataclysm hits. One dungeon. Oh yea they threw in one dragon to kill in that time.
They have the means to do far better than that, but they don't have to, so they don't.
blizzard wants you to think they are taking everything into consideration.
so yes they are milking it. no they're not being lazy. go figure.
Just when you think you have all the answers, I change the questions.
8 of those millions are in Chine and not paying monthly fees. 12 cent each hour and one hour a month is enough to count as a full sub is still a lot of money but they are earning nowhere near what they did a few years ago because of that.
But you are right anyways, there is no chance they release the new game before 2012, in fact Blizzard games are usually announced about 3 years before launch and since we didn't get it revealed this year at Blizzcon that will most likely happen next year. D3 was revealed 3 years ago and isn't even out yet.
So my guess is 2014 but it might be even later even if Wow have it's 10 years birthday that year and will have real problems keeping the subs by then, 10 years is forever for a computer game no matter how much you update it.
Blizzard is no more for the gamer but for the money.
Wow is totally outdated graphically and they still support it with useless expansions.Seems like their money have blind them and they cant see the how bad wow graphics are.
They must create a new engine so we dont have our eyes pain with the rediculous graphics wow has.
I ve stopped bet on blizzard cause they release games every decade and they do everything to milk money while we gamers are forgoten.
Now i dont care what they are going to release cause everything sucks.
I bet on other companies that they respect the gamer and they dont release a game every decade but every 2 years.
Assasins creed FTW!
I would prefere ubisoft or buthesda release an mmo than waiting for blizzard to create one.
Comparing their graphics with other companies are so low.
Anyway i dont care what they are going to release and i hope they never have the money to release it.
Enough of them.
What really irritates me is that a lot of people support them for their trash.
Seems like these guys have no money to buy a real rig and play some next gen games and they stay on worthless wow.
Enough said.
Coem on guys stop educating the WoW fanbase, they will call you haters, trolls and start whining to forum moderators to have threads closed. This is insane that people start spewing out facts in forums discussions. We can't have any of this I tell ya.
Edit: That's classic troll/Blizzhate rhetoric above me.
Pretty much the biggest and best game studio in the world doesn't need to milk anything. Every one of their pc products has been such a stellar smash hit that people know they always deliver quality.
Only haters call it milking. The rest of us call it being a considerate gaming studio. Too many promising games get released and flop because of deadlines. I had high hopes for Tabula Rasa and when they announced it we all kind of went "Whoa! Not so fast there buddy, it's not ready!" and they released it anyways and kerflop it went.
Can we stop with the Blizzbash posts on this website? It's really really getting old.
Also, Bioware takes just as long and they produce superior quality products as well. Look at the development time of any real blockbuster gaming title and you'll find 4-5+ YEARS.
