I can not in good conscience recommend this movie. I was thinking maybe go stream it or download a cam version somewhere but even then I think it would be a waste of your bandwidth better spent on porn.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

Really? That sucks. I thought it looked good.
Oh well, guess I'll wait for the DVD.

From the trailer it looks like they copied the Aliens from Crysis
Thanks for saving me $10.
Considering it wasn't released for critic review prior to public release...
Was it "Transformers 2" bad?
I went on Friday,
It sucked very bad. very close to no plot.
It was about several high class friends getting together, after a night of partying. They woke to an Alain invasion out side their window. Most of the movie was based on them looking out the window, and seeing what was going on outside ( just looked like a video game ). They tried to attempt an escape several times from their high rise apartment with no luck.........Just keep looking out the window.
At the very end, both the guy and his pregnant girlfriend got sucked into the alien craft. The guy got his brains sucked out and put into an aliens body, and he was protecting his pregnant girlfriend from the other Aliens, the end.
Not really much else, everything in the trailer was the entire plot...........It really sucked bad !
Pretty much what Page said. I'd say about 90% of the movie takes place in the penthouse. The plot for the movie... if you even want to call it a plot is extremely basic.
I suppose the movies positive aspect was that it had some pretty lights......but I don't even like blue.

My wife and I thought it was some sort of "made for TV" movie when we first saw the trailer. The CGI in the trailer alone looks about on-par with the "Langoliers" so I imagine the movie was probably not as good.
well....
i'm more forgiving than the others here but....
the movie .......could have been about an epic event.... but they focused down to one couple and their perspective rather than how the whole world reacted in say independence day....epic scale feel ....
this one was in fact....blind to the rest of the world.....
they showed brief moments of military actions.....but again, from inside the window or the roof....we never got to be part of the outside world, just hiding while the world got crushed. so the epic-ness was just simply not there....
that being said....from the couple's perspective they pulled it off....i know some of you will disagree... but they had a strong love and in the end.....the end of the world...that's what they held on to...and THAT is epic....because when it comes down to our last breath....will you have love? They did. and in that regard they BEAT the aliens.
one thing i thought was VERY cool about the aliens.... how they used human brains as their processing power....if one got cut down, for example...with it's last effort it would put in a human brain as a replacement part and then regenerate itself.....kinda like the borg on crack. Also they had an elegance about them too....they didn't just blow up buildings...they gently explored them finding people hiding and taking them....no massive building wipe out...even the giant alien guys were lumbering giants that stepped gently where they went...only becoming destructive when attacked directly or when they were after someone...they did alot of things right in this film.....
but the plot was zero....2 people that love each other hoping to find a way of escape from the end of the world. period. the end.
the last moments of the movie implies that humanity loses completely. we see many cities around the planet completely overrun by the aliens. with no resistance.
i'd see it again actually...but not a full price.
In some ways ...I sorta wish you had serious finger cancer.
At any one point could you of taken the time to add ...Oh I don't know something along the lines of a spoiler hint? I was here skimming a review and instead got a direct synopsis and the "chilling end factor taken."
Cheers....finger cancer get it.
you people and your not wanting to know...
this movie is NOT 6th sense.
it's NOT earth shattering ending.
and i certainly didn't spoil it first if you read up to other posts.
baby.
I got the feeling watching the movie that they were influenced by Cloverfield with the whole independent low budget horror experience. I loved Cloverfield for its less-is-more approach, and I think that's why I don't like Skyline. Even hiding in that one building looking through the telescope, they showed too much and the CGI was way too blatant. They could have used the whole 'don't look at the creepy light' thing to hide the aliens and only allow you to catch brief glimpses as the characters try desperately not to look.
Overall it felt kind of like a Sci Fi original movie, and that's not a good thing.
