When you click on the ps3 bundle at the bottom it will take you to the Wii offer so click on the wii offer to get to the PS3 deal O.o. It will show a 120gb PS3 anyway the ad clearly defines a 160gb bundle deal.
The 160gb ps3 does not have backwards compatibility built into them and the ps2 emulator you can download from the online shop will not change that fact. So please do not post on here that it works because it will not.
My question: Is there a new exclusive PS3 that only Gamestop has that will play PS2 games?

i have a 120gb ps3 and the ps2 emulator does not work either, tho i heard it only works with older versions of the ps3..... lame, btw im sick of my ps3 and getting a 360 slim tomorrow to play with all my friends, it sux to be the only one with a ps3 among all friends and i cant afford to keep them both so ill trade in for a cheap deal
The fact Sony can't make up their mind as to whether or not their PS3s can be backwards compatiable or not is the main reason I refuse to buy one. >.<

I have the 160gb ps3 it does not work with ps2 games. The last fully backwards compatible ps3 was the 40gb meaning it had the actual hardware built in to run PS2 games. The 80gb had software emulation.
I want this ps3 they are offering to work . The fact is this though, Everywhere I have looked I see no mention of the 160gb model offering PS2 backwards compatibility. Quite frankly they make it a well known that they are not. Look at the bottom of the ad when you click on the bundle picture it clearly states it at the bottom.
Are there special editions of the first two games that will play on a PS3 then?
Yes, do a search for 'God of War' on the site and you'll find the bundle they released for the PS3.
