You still have no clue what you are talking about. Cataclysm is their biggest expansion to date. Not only that but in case you missed it the level 1 - 60 game got dramatically refreshed, as part of a "free" content patch.
I'm not even saying if its a good or bad expansion, but trying to make it insignificant is just completely inaccurate.

Adding 5 more levels, and the corrisponding content is expanding. You clearly have absolutly no clue what they've done, as its is way beyond retexturing and remodelling. For one the new level 80-85 zones, are completely new.
So I assume by your expectations all those EQ2 expansions that increased level caps weren't anything aswell. Also all the other MMOs that have done exactly the same thing.

Expanding for who? The new guy who's unsure if he should buy the expansion? or the 5 year vet?
Whats the new guy get (and how soon) if he buys the expansion? Does he have to wait till he's max level first? Is that the only way to make this expansion useful?
The world update was free am I correct, so he gets that anyway, but why buy the expansion if I were not max level?
So you basically paid for the ability to get to max level again?
Please inform me, are there even any new gears or items for characters below 80 in the expansion?

Easy, new players don't buy it. Unless they want to play a Worgen or Goblin. They wait until they hit 80 and want to continue. Just like any other MMO that's raised it level cap.

I totally agree with you on everything you've said .
I joined this thread thinking it was going to be a discussion on the best mmo expansion ever but now I see it was designed to flame Warcraft rather than anything else . I've also found that some people can't even be botherd to read a post or basically skim it and don't absorb whats actually written in it and respond with an assumption . I block such people as they arn't worth wasting my time on .
Its a flame thread so totally pointless to enter into any more discussion about this subject . It might be interesting to continue it in general topics at some point under the heading of best mmo expansion ever .
We might get a bit of an unbiased discussion there .

Actually your reacting without being in posession of the facts . The person I blocked reacted rudely and sarcastically to what he thought was in my post rather than actually was . I stated clearly in the post that I played Warcraft only to get accused by him that I'd never played video games and yet I lurked around websites aimed at people that do . What would you call someone that fails absorb what he reads or cant be bothered to read a post and replys based on assumption ?
Also all you have to do is look at the OPs opening arguement and subsequent posts he ment this to be a Flame thread rather than a debate as to which was the best mmo expansion . .
