I will pre-order but not the CE, it's to expensive. I will pre-order GW2 CE tho.

I´m preordering it and i don´t care if it hasn´t tons of new features like some mmorpgs that failed anyway. I like the soul system and the rifts give the world a much more feeling that its alive. For me its the first really good polished and rdy to release mmorpg after WoW. Aoc and War were never on the same stage not even at release.

    I will preorder too.

Not sure if I'll get the CE. I would like to, but I can't rely on our (french) mail delivery services or retailers here, and I want to be sure I get into the game the day it goes gold. So I guess I'll get a digital version, prolly with Steam.

Nope, I was in the VIP beta but it has been kinda hard logging in lately, bored of the game already :(

  • EvilAnimalEvilAnimal Member UncommonPosts: 28

Not had a problem with the game smoothest beta i've tested, just annoying they went with generic crafting if this crafting had Vanguards depth,i'd buy this in a heartbeat, still haveing loads of fun as a VIP though image

I was in beta and will not buy Rift.I want depth, complexity and an expansive world.Rift has none of this. Vanguard in my opinion does.Thats why I continue to play it.Rift for me is a deep disappointment.

There will be no preorder in this house and in fact I only know one person in our guild who is talking about it.  I wish you all luck who want to join rift.  It just not the game for me.

At least 7 of us in beta will be preordering. The events in the last beta were awesome.

It's funny to hear everyone during the events talk about how much they enjoy the game and then read on the forums people crying for attention about what a terrible and boring game it is.

The game is polished but it's not enough for me to buy it, it's not my main target in 2011.

rift is actually (as per beta 3) one the most challenging (not in the time sink sense) MMOs I have ever seen. Easily as challenging as VG ever was in terms of actual play.

It might not have the expansive world, like VG or whatever, but very few MMOs have and what they have is enough for launch and certainly enough to have fun in.

You wanted a new VG, fine, but Trion never promised VG, it promised Rift, and it delivered.

At this point it's only your own baseless expectations and personal demands, for a expansive sandbox heavy game, that are leaving you dissapointed. Rift never presented itself as such.

it is a fine traditional MMO with some lovely touches, fine implementation, and powerful technology behind it, and for that reason i will be pre ordering. It has a solid future in front of it, one that will see it grow and mature beautifully imo.I am really enjoying the game as of B3.

    haha, indeed.

didn't meet any guy ingame who disagreed with me, that this game is just awesome. I'm wondering since weeks, where all the haters are coming from oO

I'm really liking the game so far and the contents of the CE are really appealing to me so I will pre-order the game and I hope this will keep me entertained for some months, not sure if this will be my next EQ2 or WoW type MMO (I did have an active subscription to WoW for 2 years and EQ2 3 years) but I do hope either this game or Tera will keep me entertained for years to come.

I would expect they are mostly just the fanbois and shills of other games who feel their own ones threatened by Rift and therefore feel the need to talk it down by saying it isnt VG, or it is like WoW, or whatever else they can try to come up with to sling mud.

every modern MMO near launch that looks like it might be big gets the same treatment tbh.

    Im up in the air.

Got into beta this week, but because of work maybe played around 7-8 hours total (lvl 9 was my highest).

But what I did try out and what I did see, Im going to play this game.

As a matter of fact I just finish looking up what the CE come with, I'm gonna think on it a little more. Maybe wait and see if I get another beta invite.

How can you say you are disappointed with Rift when it has Never Ever been marketed as anything but the themepark game it is.

Of course it doesnt compare to Vanguard, it was never meant to. I mean did you not even bother to research the game at all? just fire it up and get all bent because its the game they marketed it as instead of an open, complex, expansive world like VG?

    On topic.

Yes I will be preordering the game myself, maybe even the CE.

The game is exactly what I expected it to be and I have enjoyed playing in the last beta event.

To reply to the OP, there will be at least 2 copies preordered in this house. Possibly 3, my Son is getting to the point of needing his own account now. If collectors editions are made available (I hope they do) then all will be collectors. I haven't played any beta portions of the game but I have been watching the developement and avidly reading peoples experiences with the game. It sounds very much like what I have been looking for.

Edit: Just read about the CE details. Wow sounds like $80 x 2 or 3 :)

Just about what I expected out of the game... Wife and I both had a lot of fun playing... 2 Pre-Orders here..

  • MehveMehve Member Posts: 487

Very impressed with the maturity of the beta client, and the class trees and rifts are nice, but there's just too much "kill 10 boars" and hotkey cycling for my taste.

My order has already been placed

  • godzilr1godzilr1 Member UncommonPosts: 550

I will definitely be getting it.  Still not sure if collectors or standard edition but i'll have a copy on march 3.

I have been in all 3 Beta evens so far and absolutely love it.  Once you know the key feature of every one of the 8 souls in your archtype, you can make some wicked builds - and you can have 4 of them saved.

As far as it being like EQ/Wow/War, i could care less - i enjoyed my time in the game thoroughly.  When WoW game out they didnt really do anything new, they took parts of games people didnt like, fixed those, then they took parts people like and expanded them, I see Trion doing just the same thing.
