November 2011. Ncsoft wants to release Blade and Soul first. GW2 is second in the line up.
I don't think NC soft would hold a game like GW2 back in favor of B&S. If Arenanet say that they are reado to release I think NC soft would go with it.
November is still far from unlikely and I guess the autumn myself but that is so the game actually gets made.
Holding back a MMO that is ready for release cost money. GW2 have a huge team so releasing it will be a priority once it is ready.

Blade and Soul will be released in Asia only, and then at a later time localized for western market ( like Aion). Same thing, but the other way around, is planned for GW2. So they can practically be released at the same time.

Yeah but we don't know if game is ready or not. Anet's motto is 'release when it is ready'. Only they know how far it is from ready to be released. Since we are guessing here i would say Nov 2011 from look of things.
Who could have thought that WOW could bring super power like USA to its knees?

Im picking on WoW btw because its the beast that made all of this possible
End of July / beguinning of August - Because the last chapter of the novel will release 1-2 months before and it's a great time to release a game, right in the beguinning of the summer vacations.
The other date is the end of November - is a good date, not only because of the reasons you said about beeing in winter, but because it has 1 month to spread the word untill x-mas too and the number of sales will go even higher.
But I have to say that my expectations can be completely wrong: if something in the game does not satisfy the players in the demos and has to be changed immeditely (like we saw now with the redesign of the Sylvari), the game will always be released some time later. That's why "when it's ready" is, at the same time, good and bad. In order to be able to satisfy the players majority, the release date might take much more time than the players are expecting to be and are willing to wait.
I'll bet Under. December, I believe, is going to be too late, but I don't think you're that off. 1, this game is going to get numbers and doesn't matter when it releases, but it will want to come in Before everyone starts making their holiday purchases. So my guess is November 22nd, 2011.
I know it was mentioned that they are doing the testing differently than they have before. They have actually hired a bunch of testers to do some very focused testing to make sure that the different ways to play all get tested. I expect this means that they have a team testing dynamic event, a team testing pvp, a team testing private story ... etc.
They have also done extensive play testing with folks where they record the sessions with both video and audio . So I think the actual open beta will be more geared toward stress testing.
I think we'll know all the professions by April 2011. I expect that by June we'll know all the crafting details and most of the PVP details. I think they'll do another round of convention demos.
And finally I expect they'll launch during PAX West weekend.
I'm guessing ( and hoping) late, late second or 3rd quarter. The comment on NC not wanting a launch to soon has merit but if AIon isn't made playable I'm gone anyway.
OOps...If Aion gets fixed I'll play both . 'Fixed' means the ability to just pop in and have one of those mmeh nights. Wander, quest and explore without having to be on edge all the time. I'd like to see pvp remain but not if it means having to wander in wolf packs.
I know it's unbearable to have to continue waiting that long, but this is a more ambitious game than folks are realizing ... ANet are really reaching for some inovative additions to the game play mechanics that are going to require a fair amount of tweaking... which requires time...
Under I will go with 10/15/2011 and hold back it will release when they aer ready. But main factor here as with other GW2 is not held back with P2P or F2P you can buy, your updates login when ready, vacation and life need not be interupt with thei business model.

I'm hoping under, they've shown us quite a bit already! In a lot of their videos, they talk about how much they had to hide for several years, not wanting anything to leak. They said they wanted to wait to show us anything until they had something amazing. Well, they've shown us, now it comes down to some tweaking, polish, testing etc...
I'm gonna go for August/September (maybe October), I feel like Guild Wars has a very spring/summer type of feel to it and I could imagine being no happier than sitting down with GW2 while the sun shines in blindingly, beautiful inside the game and out!
I hope it will be released b4 2012 i ll bet under tho consedring that 2012 is the end of the world ArenaNet will think about that and let floks play this game for 1 year at least .(joke)

My bet: When it's Ready.

We'll see an April 2011 release...

Q3 2011.... atleast, I guess so
I bet it will release in Q2 2011 - May or June. Perhaps... :P

A September/October 2011 or Spring/early Summer 2012 release
Over... Spring of 2012.

Look for the Rose with the Thorn.
I'll say over, Spring of 2012.
