hello good friends, its been a while since ive disappeared from this thread. Mainly due to work and lazyness. Anyhow im glad you kept the thread going on.
By what ive been seeing we made a hell of a progress, and theres actually many good musics on this thread.
Just a note of appreciation for all of you
Now, ive really been into SOAD (system of a down), and i think their work is really brilliant and powerfull.
this is a band called red sparrowes, its a spin off/side project of the now defunct isis which is a kind of progressive sludgey heavy metal band. red sparowes is less heavy metal all acoustic and more droney/space rock similar to godspeed you black emperor.
this has to be one of my favourite tracks in recent years, the word epic is oversued but here it fits the context perfectly, people who want instant gratification not for you, these guys songs usually last 10 minutes or more. anyway i highly recommend you check out this song and there album every red heart shines towards the sun, the song names are all very long and pretentious but the theme of the album is about communism in china, if you like this type of stuff check out isis/gospeed you black emperor and look up progressive/acoustic heavy metal.

I´m starting to listening to Red Sparowes, and im loving it honestly. At the moment i am randomly listening to their music on youtube, and so far, i liked each song.
I´m really excited to look deeply to their work, they seem to be woth the time. Thank you pal.
Also, while roaming on Red Sparowes work, i misclicked one link and it went to a band called "God is an astronaut" and actually they are -aswell- really good afaik (as far as i know). This band also belongs to the post-rock category, wich i had never heard off untill this very day.
