I played all 4 betas and realized i could lvl up doing Warfronts, Open World PvP, Dungeon Runs, Rift Hunting and Raid Events.
O and i forgot theres quests to...
Nice try beta tester and have fun with that 6000lb axe.. Tera does have larger boobs then Rift does so i'll give you that....

Seeing as Rift Hunting and Raid events are just more grinding....especially since Rift's combat is slow, boring and god awful....

Sounds like a good game, but I have to say i'm a little skeptical. The OP said they're coming from Aion, and I mean if you are literally still playing that game after this long I don't full heartedly take the review seriously.
But still I know i'm gonna try this game just like I did with Aion, I don't really care much about grinding. But usually the korean games make shitty pvp.
Lineage 2 was great for castle sieges but other than that it was just a shoot and run concept.

I'm dying to give this game a try as i prefer eastern art style.
My concern with this revue is it sounds freakishly similar to my thoughts on the first 20 levels of Aion, which i loved. That didn't turn out too well later on. It's all about content.
Again reviews mean nothing to me and sway me in no direction until i actually play it, but i'll remain pessimistic until i do.

Well I mostly brush off comments like that but I find it quite funny coming from someone that likes Rifts "tab targeting" combat.

LOL. Clearly you havent actually watched anything from OBT if you think targeting actually changed at all. Its exactly the same it was in CBT3 and FGT2. But good job pointing out your ignorance. You know what they say, it's bliss. Have fun with your tab-target rotations, though. Lol.

I just dont understand why people are talking like Rift is such a great game when the Rift forum is on fire right now being called nonthing but another WoW / Warhammer clone. People are playing Rift so what they are saying about the game should be listened to. You all sound like idiots calling a game a grinder when you have not even played the game and are seeing post from people that are playing the game saying that the game is not a grind and they are having a blast playing Tera. Its just hating plain and simple. Instead of talking to us about Rift go to your forum and debate to the people there because we know that Rift sucks and it will be dead a month afther release.
To all thats playing Tera plz keep us updated on your progress and thoughts.
To be honest, I prefer a little grind or should I say games that take awhile to get to end game. Games that have fast lvl to cap tend to have bad in-game communities.

The only ones that are idiots are those that come to these forums to decide if an upcoming game is good or not. These forums are the worst on the interwebz to find anything out about a game. Just a bunch of Haters or Fanbois spewing nonsense. And, if you don't fall in to one of those 2 categories then you are the elitist with the superior veiw and correct opinion on every game/debate and riducule those who disagree.
Seriously if you are coming here for opinions on this game or any other game, good luck with that...

Read the op's impression on playing tera, find some stream links I might have missed, read some good pro's & con's about tera...that sort of stuff.

Tab targeting, target locking whats the difference at the end of the day it's all the same isn't it?

I am talking about the Rift forum on this site. Now you go have a look for your self.
Target locking and tab targeting are the same, but TERA is actually aiming, with certain skills using target lock.... watch some of the live streams (I am right now) and the combat isn't even close to the same as Rift...

No idea, but at least it's a step up from tab targetting that we have seen as you have to actually dodge to .. dodge.. you have to move around, try to be strategic (or so it seems lol). Mobs act differently to your movements, etc. so that is where it gets to be a bit more fun than what we have seen from current games.
Speaking of gimmick.. thats what Rifts are lol.
Rifts are gimmicks but full of fun... Have you experienced a Raid Rift Event? Mucho fun for a gimmick.. I find the random roaming invasions that spawn from Rifts a bit more enjoyable then static mobs...
