ANy game that does not offer a 7day trial atleast is a crap game, since then the devs are too scared to even give 7days it cant be good at all.
Thats just stupid. An MMO always starts at a fast bellcurve so that in the beginning many new players buy and try the game. Some will like it and some will not. Whatever the cause however the game will always have a relatively high load in the early days that after a while will level of at a hight depending on popularity and the simple fact if the game is known or not. If they would pass around free keys to just anyone early in game this would only bring down sales, and this is why.
Only a part of the players trying it will like it, this is in any game. Of these the freesies will have given them no profit while the paying customers at least bought the game at retail price. So why do non-mmo offer demo's anyhow? Some players need convincing before purchace and offering a free sample often pulls them in. This can be true for MMO's as well but the main difference is that freesies on an MMO increase serverload which often is at maximum capacity already during the early days of an MMO, while non-mmo have no such disadvantage.
This point if proven time and again with other MMO's that only start offering free demo accounts after sales are dropping, after serverload had levelled out or after the retail values have dropped. In this way they can offer the curious people that have hesitated to purchace for a try-out a chance of being lured in without risking unneccecary severload potentially disturbind the paying customers.
So sure I'd like a buddy code before I try this came. But if you are patient enough a free trial will come. But not within the first few months after release. If you want to play it at release hope for a key or just buy the game. The choice is simple either pay in cash or in patience

Personally I completely disagree.. And I wouldn't even bother posting here if I didn't think the game would be good.
I've read up extensively on it, but just don't feel entirely convince yet - even if I want to be - so for.. I think.. first.. or perhaps second time (I have a bad memory) ever I post in a "key-request thread".
If you believe it to be a crap game because it doesn't have a public 7 day trial right after release, that's your choice, but personally I think your logic is flawed.

Been requesting a key for a week, either I'm very unlucky or people dont like giving buddy keys away. Oh well, guessing i'll just buy the damn game.
