I was gonn write long comment but I make this short.

WOW is on the verge of loosing alot of players - and the new player base is atm going through just TERRIBLE unbalanced and pointless leveling process.  Most of them learn nothing about their class - go into stupidly easy Dungeons through LFD tool - where Tank is usally just running through tooping the dps while others go afk.   No game will get alot of new deticated new players doing that kind of content.  The old timers are on the verge of giving up after seeing their old world again for 1-2 months... And there is not alot of new ppl around to fill their shoes.

These are simple facts... WOW is killing itself atm with poor and sloppy work balancing the basics of the entire game.

Statistics and the majority opinion of its player base don't agree with you.

I would play Wow except I'm from the camp that you play an MMO when it first starts or you are severly limited in game, and armor, and making money in game.

Within 2 months you'd be completely caught up with everyone else.

    Not to mention, reality.

All I'm going to say is that I've played WoW since launch. My guild comprises friends that I have had pre Burning crusade and we all feel that Cata is the best expansion yet. Many of us took a break through most of the Wrath expansion as it was way to stupid easy to entertain us. Right now we are loving the way everything post 80 works including end game.

Well I'm glad some people still enjoy the game.

I see a mixed review for the expansion with the guild I was/am with. Only about half of the people log on now that started the xpac. I'm done with it as well. It's just not enjoyable for me.

The questing is great, the early endgame is a great.  I do think they made a mistake by going with only a ´gear´check to get into heroics.  The much bigger issue was people who had not run the dungeon on normal mode first.  They are the ones who die in the first 5 seconds of a fight.  But all in all, a ´check´ was definitely needed because there is a clear progression from normal dungeons to heroics, something that was lacking in Wotlk.

Tol Borad is  the only abysmal failure.  Over the past 6 years, there are very few times where I´ve questioned Blizzard on rushing something.  They have always made mistakes, but I understood what they were thinking.  With TB... there is no excuse.... it just wasn´t tested.  Wintergrasp was never perfect, but it was mostly a lot of fun.   Even if you are the defenders in TB (and therefore basically guarenteed to win), it isn´t fun.  The defenders are winning about 90% of the games, and the gameplay isn´t really that fun... its like a slightly different Arathi Basin.

But questing has been absolutely improved well beyond any other game.  I´ve tried the beta of a game coming out soon, and I felt so bored going back to a game with almost exclusively ´kill 10 x´quests.  Wow still has them, but they are sprinkled in amount really fun and creative quests like dropping bear cubs from a tree ( I always seem to fail the first one lol)

I would give it about an 8.5 out of 10.  I think TB costs it a full point just because how much I enjoyed Wintergrasp.  It´s hard to believe the big world pvp zone regressed in ´fun´that much.

Blizzard is still a GAMING company guys. People just like to label them negatively because things are not going their way. Blizzard hasn't really done something that's not a general consensus. They know how to listen.
