Does anyone get the 89/49% bug frequently?

in Rift

I know this was a big problem in beta2&3.. And i suffered from it about 25% of the time i tried to log in.. Then when i eventually pushed through it (through various log in attempts to the server) my characters would go invisible.. I hoped that perhaps they'd have it taken care of by now but i'am logging into 89/49% again.. Anyone else having these problems?

 

I know this is beta but i hope they patch it before retail as not being able to log into a MMO 1/4 the time is a very big deal.. And i know others are suffering to this bug too.

    I had it a few times in Beta 3; however, the usual problem is that the Login Server is down.

    My guess is that it's getting hammered from all the Beta Testers trying to log in and it can't handle the load.

    Yeah this is my thoughts too.. As last time it happened right around beta launch too, i waited 3 hours and it worked ok but still very laggy.. But later that night i was able to log in fine once traffic died down.. Hopefully it gets taken care of at launch though.

    EU servers seem to have been taken down, login and the game servers. Lucky US players...

    It's not really a bug, the server is just busy.

    Will develop an original MMORPG title for money.

    I'am a US player.. This was a bug before the servers were taken down, it plauged beta 2&3..

    I am Canadian (i.e. US servers), and I am getting the same problem, so it's not just EU. Also, the web site for Rift has been down for a while now too.

    im in EU but i just tried US and i have the same problem. 89% on first then 49% on the rest

    I'am US.. I think EU players cant get in no matter what.. Even tho it seems US players cant either lol..

     

    I finnaly got past and into a que for my server.. waited 10minutes.. got to the log in screen.. clicked my character.. then 3 seconds later it crashed and i got the 89%/49% bug again.. So whatever, rift just dosn't want to be played right now lol.

    considering beta 5 is supposed to start 10am pacifc time or 2pm eastern standard or 730pm gt. I am giving them some slack

    If you get that error often then run recover from the authenticator. I run recover after every single patch as it seems to corrupt for me on win7 ultimate 64.

    As someone else said, it's not a bug, it just means the client cant connect to the server.

    They really should make that more clear.

    Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.

    Yes using the authincator does not help. Just keep an eye out on the Beta forums for updates.

    I'm having this problem 100% of the time currently, I hope it's solved as the servers stabelise.

    I've only had this issue when the servers are down.

    Servers were taken down for a half an hour to hotfix the

    login issue, that my friends is good costumer service.

    I'll make it bigger so everyone can see it.

    same thing, 89% first time i log, 49% each time i click retry.
