Trial ?

Right now the performance is horrible at my end. Ping is well over 400 and i shall not even begin to tell you what kind of target it makes you in PVP.

Now there are some rumors its because the game is still not on actual launch server , and the game is on beta client.

I dont really belive that - because i heared story of mythical "Miracle patch" and "Its beta so it has logging" and similar bull , way to often from games like Mortal , etc...

 

I belive in facts. And before i see it, play it , and test it from my own PC - its just a fanboy story for me.

 

So I ask you. Will there be trial.

Because i am not plopping 50$ for a PVP game that have 400 ping

 fair enough but you really should look how diffreant the release client is guild mate took the code apart to check O_o

I had fairly similiar results when playing. Lag spikes during combat that would bug out mobs. Basically had to wait 2 -3 seconds for it to correct, then continue combat. Occassionally I even got menu lag from quest givers, though thankfully this was rarer.

I doubt they will put out a trial for awhile though. They are releasing prematurely because they are probably hurting for funds. If they released a free trial that played anything like beta it would just scare away potential customers.

I'd also like to know if there's a trial. It's been describe to me as a scifi vanguard, which immediatly interests me. Still waiting for that great scfi mmo!


Also, I wonder what would happen if a company said: "folks, we know theres bugs in the game, but as an indie company we need the funds to fix the game so we are going to release the game as is but, we promise to use the funds to fix all the bugs and create new content." I wonder if ppl would say ok. Never heard the truth from a company like that, I wonder...

I can definately say I've learned my lesson =p  I won't buy without some kinda trial any more or open beta in the least.

I'd love to try Earthrise but came up short on getting a beta code

Hopefully, they'll get a trial going soon.

Don't expect a trial for another 6+ months, MMO's don't give out trials on release generally. I would just pay attention to the game forums and see what the players say about the ping/framerate issues.

Makes sense.

I personally had alot of fun with the game even with all the issues so I pre-ordered, but I don't think the community is going to be very big at launch.

One of the GM's even stated today on the officail forums that they're not expect a huge amount of players at release like most MMOs, they plan to start with a small community and build the game up overtime.

I would really like to try this game out. I played Entropia Universe for a long time until they released VU 10.0 and have been looking for a great Sci-Fi MMO. I'm playing my 5 year old EVE Online character for now.
