Subscription codes do not work. Says they are invalid or already used.
First attempt to log in locked up my comp (black screen), forced reboot.
On second attempt to login I had to Ctrl+Alt+Del and back in to be able to allow the game past my firewall.
No mouse pointer in full screened login screen. (finally got it windowed, hard to do since mouse input is required)
Login and password don't work. Probably because of #1.
Screenshots of login screen come out all black.
Anyone else having similar problems?
The first email I sent was quickly and personally responded to... I replied right away and now haven't heard anything for hours, despite sending 2 more emails. Since I am locked out of the forums until the codes work emailing them is about my only option.

i was under the impression it would be on D2D....so far nothing.was wanting to use the 15% off on that site....just seeing nothing but bad and dont see it being worth 50 bucks so far.
I'm interested in this game, but I think I will wait a month when the price has dropped 50%. By then things should be running smoother.
within 5 minutes of that post I recieved codes that work!
Dude even if you get ingame this is what you will get:
"Ok so i played for about an hour.
The game LOOKS like it could be fun, but..
Performance is horrible. I have a i7core (3 gig) 8 gigs ddr3, and a 480GTX and my frame rate stutters between 70fps (good) and 15 fps, constantly. I turned everything off and lowered my resolution, absolutely no change to performance.
Lag is god awful but I expected that on launch day. I live in Arizona (middle of the USA on south side) and its between 100ms and 400ms.
Issues so far?
Quests lack direction. Quest giver tells me to go meet a guy but doesnt tell me where he is, at all.
Ganking. Oh yes, the very minute I left the tutorial I was ganked twice.
I still have no idea where the bank is, or the mail box.
Game crashed 3 times, once when patching, twice when trying to adjust my graphic options.
All quest NPCs have disappeared. They just dont shw up for me.
Mobs stuck in walls, the ground, invunerable mobs, invisable mobs...
So thats about all you are missing, no worries right?"
Straight from a player the managed to get into the server, rofl, sad to say but it looks like my theory was right, there is a reason why they were avoiding saying where the optimization patch is, i wish good luck to those who bought it, see you guys in march if they ever figure out how to fix the obvious texture loading issue.
lol arq was right
Your post sounds worse then beta, you sure you bought it and just logged in? Because it doesnt sound like it.
Secondly, quests lack direction and you got ganked... well, welcome to the game, thats exaclty how it is supposed to be.
Other then that I fuly agree, visuals are decent but performance makes me want to cry.
My life is a game!
Thats not my review, i dident buy the game cause i knew they dont have the optimization patch until march simply because i know what the problem with fps is and it will require either a client rewrite or a engine rewrite, what im suprised is looks that the new east coast server is no improvement over the beta server, since in beta i was getting 300 ping from canada and this guy is getting almost as much from the midle of the us lol, looks like they dident fix the desync issue either.
Trust me when I say I wish I was wrong I really mean it. Its just sad to see them release the game in this state and loss out on subs that will refuse to ever try the game again.
I hope they get it all sorted out.
yea sorry for argueing with you but like i said i enjoy the game so ill stick with it for a few months to see what they can do.
waiting on my new keys from the support some guildies got there keys already
Thing is if they had said hey guys we couldent make the optimization in before retail, just bear with us we will get it out soon, i think people would be understandable, but they dident, they dident say anything and have avoided coming out and saying it,
like i said in my other thread now its biting them in the but, its sad to see since its actually a great game despite the issue but alas the fps issue and the ping issue are gamebraking for gameplay, and im pretty sure its not a easy fix either it sounds easy but i dont think it is, but hey those who are having issue can always buy a SSD drive and they will go away rofl.
dont think there having that issues ha smuch cause of the debugging is off. but the fps is abotu the same whitch i was fine before : ) except around smoke and swamp and fog
The problem with the fps was not the debugers, the problem is that for some reason either the game client or the game engine itself is loading textures straight from the hard drive, the handfull of split seconds it takes to acess the drive and load the textures it causes your fps to drop, instead of loading them in the video cards ram for quick acess its not, only way to fix this currently is to install er on a SSD drive since their a ram based drive it will have quick acess therefore no fps drops other than fog which is a particle issue, thats why they are saying that its a client bottleneck issue and i garantee you it will need a engine rewrite hence why it will take a month to do if their lucky.
Ps: when the game doesnt have to load texture it runs amazingly smooth upwards of 100fps with settings all on max so the potential is there if they fix what i said above.
I dunno, I think people are blowing it out of proportion, or maybe I just had that much better performance than everyone else. (unlikely considering my shit internet) But I'm sure they will give performance their fulll attention the following weeks, and hopefully sort it out. If they do, I can live with the rough start, because I really do like the ide behind the game. And im so tired of fantasy mmorpgs...
My life is a game!
I haven't played a sandbox game yet where the quests were anything but what they are in ER. ER is actually a step up from a few of them. That doesn't mean they're good, just a commentary on what you get with quests in sandboxes right now.
It's an Open World FFA PvP game. Did you not see the threads about people killing each other in the tutorial zone? That's a large part of this game. You're not getting ganked, you're participating in the mechanics of the game.
Everything else sounds a lot like my beta experience. The lag goes from not so bad to 30 seconds of waiting for the mobs to run back out of the ocean so you can hit them again. Or they suddenly appear dead at your feet. I haven't had any invulnerable mobs since the last patch, but I have seen some in odd places.
You can work around the disappearing mobs/npcs by logging out and back in.
The game is almost playable. There is no way developers released the game in this state because they wanted to. Creditors wanted their money or something.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
Ya they must have gotten pressured for sure, but they could just be honest explain the problem and just say it will take a month or so to fix as seen by their roadplan, unless they dont know whats causing it but its kind of obvious what it is.
This would be commercial suicide.
Listen. There are a few people who WANT this game to fail and to see a you ng game studio go bankrupt with all financial woes for its employees as a result.
So if the studio would come out and say "We're sorry guys, but we HAD to release even tho we need a few more months. Please buy the game so we can pay the bills and fix the game." then this crowd of heartless monsters would say "SEE? WE TOLD YOU SO!" and since this is the kind of person with no one relying on them and no responsibilities or life to take care of they would unleash the kind of anti-hype which would be a tsunami in comparison to the flood of BS that's being unleashed now.
I'm sure the devs would like nothing more than to be able to be honest to their audience. They can't. It would be suicide.

Heh as I said before DF and MO all over again, the same issues, the same reason to rush the game out ( the money dried out there is no other reason why they would release in this state ). Hopefully developers at least on skill level of AV, but with more inspired vision and speed of adding content.
The performence issues are supposed to be adressed in the incoming patches, but I can bet that same like in DF and MO a lot of people will get advantage thanks to bugged content, especially bugged mobs.
Except the obvious lack of content I have a big issue with the combat being not enough FPS style, but it is now F.U.B.A.R and too late for any changes. I suppose DF got me spoiled here. I expect as well a fair ammount of grind in order to slow down people from getting through the available scarce game content. I may give the game a try one day, but for now I have enough beta testing games AFTER the launch date.
No one wants to see them fail. I know I don't. Its sucks too see so many people lose there jobs. Why did they not go the route that Xsyon did. Sell preorders even a year ahead of time or something like that. There product is not ready by any standard are we supposed to let others jump off the cliff without warning them that there is no giant pillow at the bottom?
yes your supposed to sugar coat everything, and send them so prozac or zoloft after each purchase so people just accpet things the way the are. mediocrity is awesome. everyone is an A student.
You miss understood my post, im not saying for them to say why they release early i was saying if they were honest and the days before release said, hey guys we know we mentioned a fps patch before retail, but we wont have the time to make that in, here is what the issue is, it will take a complete client rewrite or game engine rewrite it will take about a month we are going to
try and get it out as fast a we can, in the mean time here is a free month of game time, they knew it was going to take a month plus to fix as seen by their plan they released this is the engine optimization thats coming out in march but they chose to go the PR way and avoid telling people the whole story and now people are pissed off, well the ones that bought it.
I dont want to see them fail either, despite the comunication issues i like the company, the devs and the game, but its just so retarded how so many companies now a days fail at communication with their costumers.
It was obvious from the beta.
My cpu downcloacked from 4.2 to stock after a game crush.I think that was enough for me not to buy it.
Being forced to roll it out before it is ready I can understand. But that dosen't mean Im going to be their chump. $50 bucks for a half broke ass laggy game, no freak'in way. That's what good quality products ask for. Now $20 bucks is a different story. I be willing to make a "donation" to the cause for the promise of a bright future, $20 is not to steep. They could probably bring in more money at $20 price point than $50. People are going to read all the ugly on this site about this game and then go "$50 bucks, no way"!
You say no one wants to see them fail? Then why, if you would allow me to ask, are some people going OUT OF THEIR WAY to spread utter lies to discredit the game and the company?
You know what a lot of people are suffering from? The just world fallacy. They think they see a game studio failing and then they start to make up all sorts of reasons why it's their own fault they're failing.
It can't be they in fact did 90% right and just need some understanding of the mmo community (which will NEVER happen), no. Because they won't accept the world is inherently unfair and that even hardworking, intelligent people can fail because of outside circumstances. That's why people say "they should've done A or B, and then they would've been ok".
When you say "by any standard" you're blatantly lying. It's a very finished product. It has issues, yes. And it shouldn't have been released. But I do think it's worth the investment if you like a fine PvP sandbox mmo.
There are two outcomes to this:
1: People un-hype the game into oblivion. No chance of anyone getting anything from this situation.
2: Accept your dissapointment and realize that maybe, perhaps, a game can't be perfect no matter how much of the hype you buy. Then move on and allow others to make up their own mind.
The latter will of course never happen. Because what's more fun to be the prophet of a self-fulfilling prophecy?
You mention a free month of game time. What makes you think they can afford to do that? Where do you suppose they'll get the money? Will you give it to them? Will your parents? Has it occurred to you that maybe they HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO LAUNCH?

Madace this will be a never ending argument. I respect your views. The problem is we share different views.
You want us to me more understanding and accepting, and consider the people behind the scenes. You think we should keep our anger of our poor purchase to ourselves and allow others to suffer the same fate.
I do not want to see anyone fail, but at the same time I want to get my "money's worth" from the product. I feel like informing others at times is my way of lending a helping hand and informing them of a product that I feel is not up to par.
Do I think they wanted to release it in this condition. No I am sure they are being forced to do so. Would I love to see them grow and continue to expand the game ABSOLUTLEY.
{Mod Edit}
first of all im not spreading lies, i was in beta i know the state the game was in, i know the state the game is in now and have read the patch notes, i know what the fps issue is and i know its probably going to take a engine rewrite or at least a client rewrite to fix it, so how is that spreading lies, yes it unfortunate that they probably ran out of money it sucks but what can you do its the state of developing mmos now a days it takes a big investment, again all these are my opinions thats what forums are for to discuss your opinions and others about the specific game.
Second, no im not giving them my money yet, im willing to support them when they fix the fps and lag issues, and why would my parents give them money they dont play games, if your trying to hint im a little kid then nice try im 27 with my own IT company {Mod Edit} when it comes to punctuation might it be that english is not my first language ^ ^.
