Choose your feature of the Month

I know there is a lot of doom and gloom on these boards right now, but some light is starting to peak through the darkness.

 

They have already stated that Performance and stability is there #1 priority. Which is great news and will earn them a purchase from me when it has been brought to a higher level. Don't give up on following the game. We have spent to long following it to just give up now.

To be honest i dont think people have given up, we are just playing the whaiting game until march when the optimization patch comes out, its just a mater of time before they improve the game, they just have to last until then, i did like the choose your feature thing, its pretty inovative.

Yeah its a great idea. I think the next thing after performance should be territory control and vehicles. It will give people so much more to do and take the game to a whole new level.

I kind of liked the game, I put about 20 hours into beta.  I just couldn't get past the performance issues.  The stuttering and hitching made it unplayable for me.  I do hope they can work on the performance issues quickly.  I don't want to them see finally fix it 6 months down the road.  I would have to start playing really late....not the best in a FFA PvP MMO :P

Well if they fix it in march we wont be missing much, took me about 5 days of grinding to get all the skills to build 1 set of t1 armor and 2 skills for weapons and it looks like the time rises for each tier so by march unless u grind like a mad man people will stil be walking around in t4 or so, so we will have plenty of time to catch up lol.

yea they have those in closed betas and early open betas, thats how an MMORPG grows, except in other games they dont charge you for "choosing features" and having them tested in beta.

I'm not sure why they just didn't hold back the launch if they plan on making the game stable in a month. Most people had already pre-ordered who were planning on buying the game, that should have gotten them through the month.

Not really sure either.  It's frustrating as I would have probably already bought the game if my three year old PC could run it.  It is worrisome though, as it's possible they just don't know how to optimize their engine and make it more playable on more computers (besides the guys with $3k uber computers).  I had similar problems with Warhammer online when the game launched, and it took Mythic quite a while to get the performance issues somewhat worked out (still not great though).

Im enjoying this game more than I was expecting.

Kinda reminding me of L2 when Im AoE grinding non stop for 4 hours without a single quest. (You can do quests if you want)

And crafting is just amazing, crafted some awesome T3 pants. o/

 

My ONLY issue is performance but even now its not that bad.

Yes we understand that you are whining because you followed Earthrise for a whole year and a half, it then kicked your pet poodle, and did unspeakable things to your dad in front of you. Get over it much? It's clear you don't like the game, we understand. Move on to something you like? You clearly can't be pleased with this product. You might find your existence more enjoyable if you move on to something else.

I agree, I am having a blast so far.  PVP isnt just a huge gank fest, but its still a good amount of killing going on.

 

I might take the weekend off, or at least not play much and hope that they come out with a few significant patches soon.  I am getting a ping of 1k-4k at all times, so it is eating away at me a little bit.

I think it does, you wouldnt understand unless you played MMO's before WOW.
