Aika Global can now be played by NA players

adiktusadiktus Member Posts: 128

This is big news for the game! They already made the announcement in Aika Global's Facebook fan page that the Global version of Aika will open its server to North American players starting February 17.

Being a player of Aika Global, I'm happy for this announcement since I'll be seeing more people now. And I guess this will somehow negate the criticisms about this game being a "Global" game yet blocks some countries. I'll give credit to the publisher of this game for this move. :)

What do you guys think of this announcement?

The pessimist in me would see this as an indication of a population decline.  Isn't there a NA version of Aika, because if there is then poaching players from another version sort of spells trouble.

Haven't played for a while though as boredom set in.  I hope this move works out for the best as I enjoyed my time while it interested me :)

Aika NA opened to EU recently and now Aika Global opened to NA, I wonder what happened.

Yeah. It's quite weird. Although I'll definitely try the Global one. I never really liked Gpot's service. And I think it will have more players since gpot Aika only has NA and EU while Global version has those plus Australia and Asia.

I tried both games and I definitely am gonna play Aika Global again. In Global they have good customer service. They even used to have visible in-game GM's to answer inquiries. I dunno if they still have that but for me their service is great rather than NA. I played OBT and reached lvl 50 (which was the max cap before) and didn't even get to see not one GM. >.<

I heard about that news too. That's the reason why a lot of people hated Gpot from then on.
