Nice roleplay but the original Poor Fellow Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, were undoubtedly good aligned.
Didn't the Assassin's Creed games teach you anything? lol joking, well actually.. they did sort of get it right in some ways though, good and be viewed as bad depending on which side you are on.
Personally I feel the name Templar suits their plans, and i'll just leave it as that to avoid a religion history debate.

we have quite a bit but we do not discuss things of this nature outside of the clan
You don't discuss what outside your tribe? Your member count? Seriously? That just makes you sound like a giant bucket of fail. Actually, the whole attitude behind the tribe sounds like a barrel of fail. Then when you look at that attitude of the members you realize it's a warehouse of fail. It's just so fun using and abusing the word fail when it fits. FAIL.
Yeah must be different tastes. See this post here by ManJunk, now this I laughed my ass off at. Perfectly stated!
I was talking about Jamigre's post.
These 2 posts here are just showing us how to be rude on a forum.
Yeah I was referring to Jamigre's post - it wasn't funny to me.
So you thought those two posts were rude, but him calling everyone knobs wasn't? Really? So I can call you a knob right now and you wouldn't mind huh? Knob.
Laughing now are ya, ya f'in knob? Not funny now is it, knob. Thats what my point was, get it now?
(DISCLAIMER - The use of the word YOU in the above post is not directed at any one person in particular, but towards those who fall into the category itself - there is no personal attack here, neither intentional nor implied.)
And, I do find it unfathomable that all of you who are proclaiming “fail” left and right, have never played an evil side in an RPG.
When you played Fallout: New Vegas, did you all side with the NCR, and raise your fist in your living room, shouting righteous bable against the Legion?
You’ve never played a Sith, or the dark side in any Star Wars game?
I find that hard to believe.
The Templars are no different. They’ve given us the opportunity to play this evil tribe, and Roleplay these evil assholes.
Does that mean we are all assholes in real life, bent on throwing power around, ordering our members around, making them grovel at the leaders feet? That’s insane. Would ANYBODY stick around for that shit? No.
To be honest, we were talking about how we have recruited so many nice, respectful, helpful, intelligent people into the Tribe thus far. We have fun, we laugh, and we help each other out. If someone decides to fish 50 yards from an evil tribe, they will probably get killed (yes, we RP the Apocalypse, as intended, with limited resources...do you want someone taking all your fish, especially RPing a bad dude?)
It seems to me, with the induction of so many shittasticall MMORPG’s, that people have forgotten the RPG in the acronym.
To those who are proclaiming this is supposed to be a crafting game, you forgot to read the “About” section on the site.
“...Players hold the power to create and destroy, to maintain a balance with nature or to cultivate a new civilization”
It’s pretty easy to find, maybe read what the game is about before judging.
To those of you who have expressed interest; please, take the time to fill out an app - we would love to hear more about you. We are a fun and helpful tribe,...we just have evil agendas based on the characters we are Roleplaying. If you are unable to detach yourself from your character, and can’t realize the difference between people in real life, and projected role playing personalities, start thinking about all the games you’ve played, and realize that you’re judging too quickly.

Not picking a fight at all really, just trying to get my point accross. You said I was being rude, I was saying he was, and wasn't funny. You took offense to that, sorry. You got the point though I can see. Being called a knob isnt funny is it? Saying people who find being called a knob not funny rude????? Really???
Oh and I want to give cred to Boo too, for putting out a mature, respectful recruitment post for the Templars. Something the other guy could have done but didnt. This whole idea of who was funny and who wwas rude didnt have to start at all if Jamigre had been more like Boo. Well done Boo, might I recommend you take over as the recruiter for the Templars.

I did not say you were rude, I said the 2 posts you quoted where rude.
I thought J's post was funny while you didn't. No problem there. But then you go post using J's word to attack me viciously, clearly in a very hostile matter to get your point across, btw something you do quite often.
And, I do find it unfathomable that all of you who are proclaiming “fail” left and right, have never played an evil side in an RPG.
Well, outside of a game that gave me no choice (Wizardry 5, Dark Heart of Werdna) no, actually I never RP evil. My idea of living on the edge is playing a paladin as a chaotic good alignment.
When you played Fallout: New Vegas, did you all side with the NCR, and raise your fist in your living room, shouting righteous bable against the Legion? - Haven't played that one yet, but in single player games I generally play on the side of good, but I'm guessing perhaps in this game there is no real "good" to be found. But I find when I'm confused shooting anything shooting at me is usually the best course of action.
You’ve never played a Sith, or the dark side in any Star Wars game? - Never played a SWs Game, ever.... well maybe Tie fighter or something a zillion years ago, and I fought for the rebels of course.
I find that hard to believe. - Well believe it, we do exist and we sure are a bunch of self-righteous arses.
No.
I have no issue with people RPing, evil guilds, nor killing within the confines of the game world as long as there's a sense of balance and they remember that there are real people on the other end of the avatars and actions should never be taken that are really quite evil.
So I don't support people who scam others out of their goods, might be legal (as in EVE) but its evil in my book and I won't do it. (or associate with those who do). Its OK to defend your territory and kill those you war with, but spawn camping is evil in my eyes, and isn't part of fair game play in my book in most circumstances.
Not saying you guys are going to be evil, but I've certainly met players who really were, in fact, I was convinced in real life they were serial killers or something, or one step away from becoming one.
All this moral talk aside, I figure you guys are just a bunch of gamers looking to have some fun and as I said, welcome your participation in a game such as Xyson. I think your group looks well organized, fun and I hope to not get killed too many times as we cross paths. (I'm usually the killee and rarely the killer.)

My appologies really, I thought your post was directed at me. And yes, I never did say I made any attempt at being nice, never have and probably never will - its just who I am. I speak my mind, as I see it, how I see it. Sometimes it bites a bit much for some but honestly I wouldnt expect me to change any on that one. Wasn't raised to be polite, only honest, brutely if need be, but always honest. So dont take it personally, its not like I singled you out and made that personal because it was you. I made the point personal to an annonomous someone to get the point accross, your post just gave me the position I wanted to do so. The point is this, you dont have to be an ass to Roleplay an evil character. Evil does not mean ass. Thats the point I was making, J was being one in his last post and Boo showed that you dont need to to get the evil accross.
(DISCLAIMER - The use of the word YOU in the above post is not directed at any one person in particular, but towards those who fall into the category itself - there is no personal attack here, neither intentional nor implied.)
Now see, I did think your tribe had potential until your last post there, now I just think your an A'hole. Seriously, no matter how good the concept on your tribe, all you proved in that last post is that your not above acting like a 12 year old. Count me out man, but good luck with your tribe.
Tastes differ I presume .. his post gave me a good laugh. Seeing some of the reactions in this thread, I thought he handled it rather well.

We'll see, but it strikes me that - assuming the mechanics work - they will have to craft and defend their territory as much as the next tribe... otherwise they will lose in the tech/equipment race.
I am also willing to bet that before long the tribe itself will split into factions, spawn rival breakaway groups etc. Templar territory will become Balkanised. Will be interesting to watch!

The tribe is looking pretty solid so far to be honest. As long as the leaders stay active I can see if going quite well indeed.
If anyone else out there is looking for an Evil tribe with a focus on PvP then you should definitely consider Templar.
