As excited I am about this game, once it was uncovered that their "east coast" servers were in Cali at launch I made the prudent decision of waiting this one out. I try to keep up by reading their forums, but one can never trust how heavily eddited/modded/controlled a game forum is (especially when the game is having problems).
One thing I always check is the "Patch Notes" section of the News tab. It has been empty since launch. Have they really not patched this game yet?
I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.

There have indeed been no client patches as of yet. As for server updates I'm not sure, but somehow I doubt that as well.
That is a terrible shame. I don't know if it was just forum hype or what, but these devs seemed to have a reputation for being on top of things in the beta community. I know that having their server host rug pulled out from under than at virtually the last minute had to have hurt them, but I am really shocked and disappointed that they haven't released a single patch in over a week. That doesn't bode well for the future. I suppose that means they are working on server stability issues, but that begs the question, what about this game isn't at least partially broken?

Who cares about the patch notes...many games on the market just check one that is out of alpha testing and worth paying for...
Or keep playing Earthrise in his current state but dont complain, nobody is pointing a gun to your head forcing you to play, you and / or others.
In my opinion a game with these many bugs and lack of content and everything else shouldnt be allowed to sell the game to the public, the problem is: there is no internet mmorpg, online games quality control and costumer protection.
I'm NOT playing, I was pretty clear about that in my OP ("...I made the prudent decision of waiting this one out.")
Who cares about patch notes? That's a pretty asinine question. Any game's playerbase (or potential playerbase) cares about patch notes as they are the single most important line of communication that exists (at least in terms of from devs to players). This is due to the fact that they aren't about what is "promised" or "planned" or "being worked on." It is what has actually been accomplished. They keep players updated not only about fixes to issues, but changes of all kinds in the game. This is why anyone would care about patch notes (especially in a situation where so many things aren't working as they should).
As I said, I'm not playing this. Nor did I come here to complain. I am trying to figure out if the game had been patched and the patch notes just weren't being updated, or if no patching has occurred. If I were playing, I would alread know if the game had been patched. I verbalized the trepidation the fact that the game has yet to be patched gave me, but its not as if that was the point of this thread, as you seem to have taken it.
While I understand the nature of MMO development and why they get pushed before they are ready, I cannot disagree with you about standards for release. That is precisely why I decided to wait ER's problems out before trying it. I was simply trying to gague what kind of progress was being made. My reaction to the news of this progress (or lack thereof) is hardly out of line.

There have been server side patches all last week, we are anticipating a client patch this week, here is hoping at least.
Having been in since day 1 i can confirm performance is improving, long way to go but getting better.
It's good to know that performance is improving for sure. I figured it all had to be server patching, because I find it impossible to believe they're doing nothing. I suppose it'd be pointless to patch the client before the servers are running at least a little like they should.
Thanks for the info!
