"My personal experience" threads

When a game launches or during any beta phases, game forums get swarmed with "My Personal Experience" type of thread. Some of these threads bring interesting points, but they are often mixed with various redundant points or opinions. As a result, it becomes quite difficult to follow any good argument, and such threads often become 'Me vs all of you!" type of discussion.

Would it be too harsh to get all of those threads into a single sticky? Or perhaps invite those users to post a blog entry instead of writing a single threads that gets bumped endlessly into the '5 last posts' on front page?
