Lock Picking in 2 Worlds 2

Wasn;t sure where to put this as this game is a mmo.....well...sort of when you go online but still not sure..

 

The game is Two Worlds 2.

 

Can someone explain how exactly you pick a lock?

 

It says to go in deep to turn the cylinders but much as I tried I can not get it right. How excactly do you do what's required with the PS3 controllers? Which buttons or what to do with the controllers to get this right?
