Seriously, I cannot find a single mmorpg that blows me away. I recently bought Rift and I like the graphics but it just doesn't fit my needs. I try every game that I can I just play for a few weeks then I just get tired of it. Anyone has this illness and got it cured? Tell me how.

A lot of people are experiencing this. There is a bad mmo drought (sp) going on right now. My only suggestion is to check out some of the older mmo's and some of the indie ones. The older ones can offer the immersion you may be wanting. The indie ones can offer current development.

    Generally speaking, of course.

    Above poster is right.

Older MMORPGs are simply deeper then todays fast-food mmo-s.

Try EQ if you want something really different. - still healthy and well developed, but poor graphics and slow gameplay

If you think EQ graphics are too outdated and combat is slow, then try Vanguard. - same gameplay, with new graphics, no development but content enough for 2 years, only one server, but its more healthy then the usual EQ servers.

If you dont like any of them, then come back 3 years from now. Things may change.

Of the newer indie MMOs i tried Darkfall, MO, Earthrise, but i would not recommend any of them.

    Heh you're paralyzed by choice.

There are soo many MMO choices around, that if one isn't perfect you'll feel ripped of if it isn't perfect.

Practice doesn't make perfect, practice makes permanent.

Ha, I wish that were the case.  Many MMO's just means lots of downloading, installing, trying for a few weeks, then uninstalling.  Rinse and Repeat.

MMO market is absolutely stagnant right now in my opinion.  I think the come back in 3 years comment is unfortunately probably dead-on...

GW2 "built from the ground up with microtransactions in mind"
    1) Cash->Gems->Gold->Influence->WvWvWBoosts = PAY2WIN
    2) Mystic Chests = Crass in-game cash shop advertisements

Play one of the older mmos because the new ones are a total waste of time. Any mmo that sends you from quest to quest is crap.

I would highly suggest not investing into GW1. Its not a MMORPG. and if it wasnt your first introduction into Online RPGs, than you will likely be very disapointed in the waist of money.

    Why?

Because its not a MMORPG at all. Its a CO-OP Online RPG. Dont buy that game expecting a MMORPG. you well be very disapointed. Unless thats your first game introduction into Online RPGs.
