Cheap Gaming Keypad?

ScrimMalteseScrimMaltese Member Posts: 469

Like that, but not no freaking $50-100 like everyone I've ever seen costs. I bought a regular keypad for like $5, but it's too flat and hurts my hand.

Does anyone know of any that they would recommend? Or anything that might work as one? I'm looking in the $20-$30 range.

If you absolutely must have one now, you wont find a controller like that for 20-30 bux unless you get one thats used.  You might find the older version, the Belkin Nostromo N52 for cheaper than 30 used.

if you want cheaper you'll be limited to a gamepad which if you're using it for MMO's really sucks.  I will say that the n52 and the n52te are awesome for MMO's and if you can budget $30 now Id suggest just saving a little bit more and buying one new.  You wont regret it.

*edit* FYI if you happen to buy a used older version, the belkin, make damn sure you get the software cd with it because its discontinued.

Save some money and buy a Logitech G13, it's worth it.

Best gaming device I've ever bought

Money isn't the issue, the issue is that I can't justify spending so much on so little and something that I won't really use very often. It's a number pad with a hand support. lol

I mostly want it for MOBAs and FPSs, not MMOs. Macros are pretty useless to me anyway, so the G19 or G13 is too much for what I want. I can code a macro to any key, regardless of the peripheral anyway. lol

    I also already have a G15. I don't need a full keyboard. So, I don't want a Steel Series keyboard or a G19.

    Woot.com didn't have any good deals. :(

Meh, I guess there isn't any cheap ones out there. I was hoping someone knew of one I didn't know about. Sucks. I could never bring myself to spend $50-$100 on a glorified numberpad, no matter how much I want one. Like I said earlier, money isn't the issue, it's the principle of it.

Well I use my G13 for all games I play so for me it was definitly worth it. I find it aweseome even for FPS games.

100 times more comfortable than a keyboard and the possibilites with macros and binds are pretty much endless. :)

Don't listen to any of these guys, you only have a budget of $20.  You should save up to $2000 and get an Optimus.  I don't see how anyone can game comfortably without each key being its own LED screen.

If you can't afford the full keyboard, they have a 3-key version for $120 !

Perfect for when you need 3 beautiful OLED displayed custom graphics for CTRL-ALT-DEL

I have to admit though, I want one of those Optimus keyboards so badly, and it's totally irrational.

The Nostromo ended up not being nearly as cool in action as it looked in the pictures. Your best bet really is going to be the Logitech G13. You just have to decide if what you want is what you are willing to spend, but it doesn't sound like it.

If nothing else, you could pick up a G13 from Best Buy, and if you don't like it, take it back.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
