Sony doesn't innovate...in anything they do. That's why their games continue to be total crap.
The only thing they have going for them is Everquest.
I know SOE has issues but they have occasional sparks
example: the appearance slot in EQ2 -- I believe they were the 1st mmo to do this
to show gear for how you want to look and still wear the gear you need for adventuring
Turbine liked this new feature enough to add it to LOTRO later
Yup, the appearence slot was a good idea. Sony is going to focus on EQ3 it appears. I hope that they make EQ3 a good game, but we shall see.

~nope~
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
Soe failed so many times before and on so many mmorpg´s and now also the playstation fiasco. Maybe SOE should just throw in the towl and do us all a favor.
So if we are talking balancing numerous classes i think SoE (eq2) has it done better then rift atm.
You are comparing a 1 month old game to an almost 7 year old game in terms of balance?
Right now the current players of EQ2 think the best way for soe to fix the horrid class balance issues is to merge classes and remove others. That doesn't exactly speak volumes about soes ability to balance classes.
The 24 class system was a pood choice from the beginning and despite several attempts to fix the issues from several angles it is still a mess.
The agency was a good idea in concept, but the odds of soe making a pure pvp game that isn't plagued with problems or ruined by their own designs is very very slim. They struggle with PvE as it is and PvP trails far behind that in their games.

I mean i dont give a s*** about the agency, it was a bad idea anyways, but SOE seems to be very clueless about what to do or focus on....
I mean come on SOE! Use your brain! Get the überawesome EQ3 out. All we oldtimers would kill for it! :-)

I know that AO has this feature, so they had it before EQ2 I don't know if anyone else had it before then.
While discussing the merits of a company is fine, simple bashing threads that serve no other purpose aren't. Locking.
