Well I can wait because my computer currently isn't worthy of having Guild Wars 2 played on it, but a new graphics card and a new mouse & keyboard will help remedy that.
I find that I am becoming more short tempered with every passing day. I want to rage on people for the most insignificant of things. I cannot hold out for much longer. Must.... Have..... New.... Class..... Release!!!

I need to replace every single component of my computer except for the monitor.
I'm holding out until the month before GW2 releases, so I can have as good of a computer for my dollar as possible. If I bought it now, I don't even have any computer game in particular I'd be wanting to play on it, so I'd just have a REALLY fancy forum cruiser.
Kind of like waiting for George RR Martin to finish the damn book series.
Eh...after A Feast For Crows I'm not sure I want him to finish. That was far and away the worst of an otherwise awesome series. But...as far as epic fantasy goes, whaddyagonnado, right?

Come on already the gaming community needs you!!!!!!!!!!
dont listen to him Anet.... take all the time you need and then come up with the best mmorpg of the decade!
i cant wait for GW2 either, but i dont want to be disappointed with an unfinished piece of garbage with lack of content because the community cant wait a lil bit more

Oh yeah Just finished the last one, and I cant wait for the HBO series of Game of Thrones to start http://www.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/index.html ! Im starting with Memory, Sorrow and Thorn from Tad Williams right now, got all of them via ebay today, heared great things about those. I also can recommend The name of the Wind and The Wise Mans Fear from Patrick Rothfuss. Man i need a new bookshelf... got 76 fantasy books now including the new ones. and the other books like my hole stephen king collection with all of his work, where do i put it???? Its groing so fast, since i discovered reading as a hobby 3 years ago...

One of my favorite series as well. I think you'll really enjoy it.
I'm just hoping GRRM doesn't make the same mistakes that Robert Jordan did with the Wheel of Time series. Started off great but got bogged down into the minute details of mundane secondary characters.
Anyway, the wait for GW2 wouldn't be so bad if I was playing something else right now. But no other mmos have interested me in the least the past 6 months.
I am wondering whether my i5-760, HD 6850 OC, 4gb ram will be able to pull GW2 on 1920x1200 on high details with preferably AA x4+ and AF x8+ [i hate square edges].
I expect them to program game with performance in mind so it runs very well. Also with dx11 [does GW2 uses dx11? or dx10?] it would help to increase performance.
Honestly, it sounded like you were stroking yourself to me as well. These posts are common, "do you think [Insert good system] will be good enough?". I'm guessing if you built machine yourself, and have followed GPU requirements in games the past say...oh 4 years, you'd realize your system will easily handle whatever GW2 implements. The software industry has been slack on new development over the years, and video cards have had a much longer shelf life.
GW2's engine will not produce something (barring bad coding) that will not generate great framerates with your system.
"What are the system requirements for Guild Wars 2?
The system requirements haven't been finalized, but just as with the original Guild Wars series, we're committed to creating a beautiful game that will play great on mid-range gaming PCs."

It was a sincere question. I have bought comp like 4-5 months ago tbh and I wasn't aiming at high end at all because I couldn't afford it nor did I want to spend lots of cash on it.
I imagine there are plenty of such questions and many may be made only for "e-peen" purpose, but this is not the case.
I know I definitly want to run it on 1920x1200 and at least AA and AF I named above, that's my threshold. Also as it's MMO I would love to have more then 30+ FPS with lots of other players on the screen instead of "hiccups".
If you say it indeed will have zero problems with GW2 [on setting's I've posted] then I'm more than happy if this proves to be true. Remember AoC? My old comp was supposed to have 0 problems with it, yet I had like 10 FPS. WoW runs "OK" with it [on Dx9, Dx11 causes me occasional crashes]. It may be that either WoW got a lot more demanding or simply it has "old" coding not aimed at current tech.
Hopefully GW2 has outstanding coding without memory leaks and the likes.
Edit: at the time when I've built this comp I've aimed at maximum performance for low buck rig so middle ground that wasn't too epensive. Since then I didn't really follow game requirements. Quite honestly I dont know if this will run Witcher 2 on high.
Just a reminder for all you WoW players out there: If you try to play GW2 like you have been playing WoW you guys aren't gonna like it either just like you don't like any other new MMO release since WoW. Lose the WoW mindset and really try to overcome the MMO brainwash that WoW has instilled in you all. This mentality has to STOP!

Playing MMOs since '98. Actually I've written Master's Thesis about MMO games market and stuff.
Guild Wars 2 will rejuvenate my heart for MMOs. Can't wait for it. At least something new and fresh instead of same old thing.

GW2, I need you!
Wow you're here too. LOL. We're waiting on the same game.
My theme song.
For the same reasons, probably

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.
I guess this year I actually have to go to gamescom.
Sweet, sweet demo time ...

At least GRRM has a date for when the next book is going to come out.

The wait is like watching paint dry sometimes. I still say because EOTN was way too short it made the wait alot more unbearable than it really is.
thinking it's time to upgrade my 2x GTX 295s to 590 maybe?

Again I'm disappointed that its not sylvari or asura (or even charr) week.
