Sci-Fi Sims?
Alright, time to hit up the brain trust. One of my favorite corners of the gaming world has always been simulation games like Sim City. Unfortunately, games of this nature are almost never built in the science fiction style. There have been a few... years ago. Moon Tycoon, Space Commander, and my personal old school favorite Startopia. I am curious however, if there have been any new developments in this genre in more recent years? I am not looking for one of the 10 million space 'combat' simulators like Dark Orbit or Freelancer nor any of a pile of space 'strategy' games ie. Galactic Civilizations, Sins of a Solar Empire. Builder games are like ant farms, they are relaxing and intellectually stimulating. So what's out there gamers?

Anno 2070 is coming this year. It isn't actually set in space, but it is sci-fi.
