Looking for Support

WarzodWarzod Member RarePosts: 507

I used to love to play the medic in Planetside. Hacker, engineer, all good stuff and I loved the support roles. Now I was wondering if anyone knew of any other modern or sci-fi MMOs with those kinds of options. Thanks.

P.S. It's funny how developers seem to think that 'doing away with healers' is a good idea when it actually is a huge turn off to players such as myself that live to fill those roles.

Quick edit. I have played Global Agenda. Very cool game, just I am looking more for an actual open world MMO. Neat title just more an instance based FPS.

This really should be in the LFGame Forums, but to answer your question. There's Firefall, a F2P, Tribes-style, Team-based shooter that might interest you. This class trailer just came out, which illustrates a support role you may be interested in.

Just to back up Master10K: (LF Forum): I added a few links to Firefall forum: 2 Trailers: Vehicles/Features & also a PvP Deathmatch: GTs

Medic is very similar to TF2 it seems.

RE: Devs removing Healers: There's probably still more mmos with the healer-trinity still? About removing/reducing it, I'd prefer it was superceded: That's to say it still works in the games you find it, but a new system that is more effective for players in play-styles they can choose is a better alternative... I'm hoping GW2 achieves this. : )

Or as I always say: "The sword is mightier than the shield." : D

It's funny. I have posted items like this in the LFG forum and they never get responded too. It's like advertising on a bulletin board in the back of a warehouse no one uses anymore. ;) At any rate, so Firefall eh? Yes, I am familiar but it is still in development without even a CBT in site last I saw. Too bad nothing at all in current release. Ah, well. Thank you for the info.

Thank you Sony for cancelling The Agency because you have proven that you are a rock solid bastion of good decisions... *rolls*
