Just wondering what evreyones favorite class is? So far I'm having a blast with an Engineer. Lots of damage and spread out over a group of enemies. Good limes.

Engineer can be a defensive powerhouse... as long as supported/protected with enough other classes... you can spread out the damage/control etc in the most satisfyingly explosive means! I tended to prefer the Squig Herder more (the direct analog for destro) because you have more spike dps and also mobile pets and generally keep plinking 'arrers I found I had a lot of killing blows for this class.
I also liked the shadow warrior but a hard class to play compared to bright wizards back when I last subbed. ; )

Witch Elf.
Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.
Ironbreaker and Engineer personally for order, Black Orc and Magus for destruction.
People say Engineers and Magus' are underpowered but I think they just need to L2P.
When i did play I loved my Witch Elf and DoK.
Im sure anyone looking at the WAR forums already know this - but Squig herder is the counter to shadow warrior. Magus is the conterpart to engineer
That's right, it's been a long time. Thanks for the correction.
edit: who was the opposite of the white lion if it was not the squig herder ? Maybe it was the mutant guy... cannot remember the name?
Hm the classes were characterful in war, but the limitations of class-play were a problem, found both squig and engi less useful in dungeons and more useful in keep sieges (defending on walls) and again less useful in the actual citadel than healers/tanks. OP if you enjoyed these classes, check out gw2 professions. The 8th unknown could be styled similar to the engi I'm guessing...

I'd have to say the gobbo shaman, loved waving my staff about, raving about 'shinies', bunging hots on every one then watching his little flapping feet running away from 20 enemies after his heals failed to keep anyone alive.
Incidentally how is the game now? Anything changed for the better in the last year or two?
Sorcerer
Keep your black magic maxed and stay near a healer. Prey upon shadow archers, brights, and engineers who try to kill your ram operators or squishies and anyone else who gets too close, groups too tightly, or any hammer-priest that is too stupid to break LOS (<- good AOE anchor). Blast the oil with your AOE to keep them from repairing it or even using it. Command your warband to focus fire on the oil and it will go down quickly, don't worry about sounding bossy, some people need a kick in the right direction. Pair your AOE with your cast speed increaser to spike the oil operator to death.
If the oil is down and no order present, hit your cast speed increaser and point-blank blast (with the relevant passive slotted) the door with your single target attack, you'll do 1/4 the dps of a ram while that buff lasts. This also works for high-geared tanks in T4 who think they're invincible and run straight into your WB. It's your job to prove them wrong, nobody else has enough raw damage output (outdated, may have changed with the recent patch).
Beware bright wizards. Fire bad. They can be killed quickly but if they see you first, run.
Also stay away from slayers, keep an eye out for shadow archers who might snipe you, and always have your immob ready for the random witch hunter.
Regardless of strategy, expect to die repeatedly. It's part of being the class. Sometimes you get killed by order, sometimes you kill yourself with black magic, it happens.
If you aren't on a keep siege or if the door is open, use the hardest tank as your AOE anchor. Everybody near him will die. This will sometimes leave him without a healer.
I left a river of blood behind me as I blazed through T2-T3 with this strategy.
I edited this post many times over a period of an hour to make this accurate and easily understandable. Since I cannot afford to play, I need somebody to carry on my legacy.
