all this talk about soe takes for granted the fact talented "code-writers" haven't been doing this in the background, of any given company, for some time.

 

So a bunch of overt douchebag children (anonymous) start tying up bandwidth with their disributed freeware ddos, and in the midst, the company notices something awry which previously had been "undetectable". We're pointing fingers at sony, while a good hacker could have been doing this all along for years, and now it's only discovered.
