So I have been tinkering around with this title for a while now. Kind of digging on it. Good concept, interesting art style, lots of potential. With that said, the thing that really surprised me was the community. Now I have been playing MMOs since, well MUDs I guess. I have been part of my fair share of PvP environments and they never really bothered me. Your pixel code depleted the HP variable of my pixel code etc. It's a game. With Faxion though... some of these players are way way... way beyond anything I have ever encountered. Now, one could postulate some correlation with the fact that Hell and its denizens are an actual faction to be played but I honestly have never seen in all my years a level of hate, anger, and sometimes just plain viciousness that I have within this player base. As a member of the psychological community I am thinking about doing a paper on it.
One happens upon a player and due to their verbal and physical antics you might think, jeez... that's the kind of kid that kicks puppies or puts firecrackers on the tails of cats. Now imagine the kind of player that would make you think, serial killer in training. Now I am not talking about getting ganked, or camped, or omgbbqroflpwned. These are all parts of playing a more hardcore PvP game. No issues there. I am really more fascinated by the sheer level of bloodthirsty hatred that I have seen in the channels of this title. Now, while all populations have their anomalies things are pretty much as you would expect. The Heaven faction is chalk full of socialites and daisy pickers. As it should be. And that is what I suppose I find so enthralling is that I don't think the developers could have populated the Hell faction with a more true representation of all that is the bane and terror of human existence if they had hired actors and written scripts.
Now I am sure a few Hell players will be here shortly to comment in some fashion regarding the density of my skin or to insist that they are all simply a misunderstood brotherhood of precocious scamps. Honestly, I don't care. I am putting my money on them beating their chests, tossing up fake gang signs and chanting, yeah das rite we hard core dog. I simply thought it worth taking a moment to share this interesting phenomenon with potential players so that they might be better prepared for what they will be walking into. Having a faction actually based on Hell and all that this entails has either managed to congregate the darkest pit of malevolent player evil in the history of gaming or the most fantastic role play troupe I have ever seen. Either way, it warrants keeping an eye on.

Maybe they should have a third faction of purgatory/mercenaries for those that fit somewhere in-between. It could possibly help faction imbalance also.
Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.
Interesting. I don't spend a lot of time on the Hell side, but I do have a couple of Hell characters and I really haven't seen much more than the normal chest-thumping antics one would expect of any PvP game. In fact, I see the same from both sides. Are you referring to a specific guild channel? There is a stupid amount of bashing and whining on the official forums, though. Personally, I ignore it all and try to focus on the big picture - what would be potentially beneficial fo the game as a whole?
Frankly, I don't understand the animosity. I honestly didn't pick one side vs. the other for any reason other than I just ended up playing one character more, so it became my main. I guess some players just identify more with their chosen faction, whether it's for real life reasons, role playing, etc... In my case, between my various alpha and beta character names, my main's name just happens to be a "Heavenish" name, so it's a Heaven character.
