Making the big move...

So I've decided to head to 0.0 space... I've been running missions and exploring solo for about 2 months for isk for better ships and mods. Recently I broke the 100mill isk mark and made it to level 4 agents so decided to try something new. Null space here I come :-D

My only concern is that I won't be able to consistantly make isk in null space. Atm I can simply run some missions or scan down some radar sites for some quick easy cash. In null space I'm guessing that there are no agents for missions and exploring sites will have much tougher ships. I'm assuming that the market will be rough as well because I'll be deeper in space away from trade hubs?

Basically I'm just looking for tips and info on has to keep my bank account high so that I'm able to afford pvp/pve ships in null space once I'm there. So how do you guys make your isk to replace lots mods and ships?

There are mission agents in NPC sov 0.0 (eg: Curse, Stain, Venal, Great Wildlands, Outer Ring, Pure Blind, Fountain, Delve)

In gerenal is it better for a newer player to wait to go to 0.0 or should I be fine? The open pvp and no npc protection isnt whats making me hesitate. I'm worried that I may not have the isk, skills, or ships to be able to support a pvp habit this early in the game.

Also can someone explain how I'm expected to get all my assets to 0.0 safely? I've about 3-4 ships and hundreds of mods I'd like to take with me if possible.

Sounds like now would be a good time to start looking, what is the worse that can happen? Lose everything, run back to empire? The LVL 4s that you just opened can easily get you back running again if that is the case.

If you can at least fly a BC then you should be able to rat and make isk. I would recommend running belts or lower anoms to start of with. For PVP, think smaller, such as frigates and interceptors.

The method of bringing your stuff to 0.0 may be upto whomever you fly with. They may offer frieghter or carrier services but you may actually want to consider buying most of what you need when you get up there.

Mmm you could also try wormholes, join a w-corp, its good isk usually, and theres almost always some pvp to be had if the corp wants it. A good training ground for 0.0 as in some respects you have to be more on your toes and in others it can be easier than learning the ropes in 0.0 straight off the bat.

Well, first off, from your questions it sounds like you are considering moving to 0.0 solo.  If so, I advise against it, 0.0 is best experienced as part of a corporation, and your corp mates will assist you with logistics such as moving out your ships to 0.0 (or if you can buy them out there.

As for earning ISK, what sort of ratting ships do you fly?  If you have decently tanked Drake you can solo most anomolies which your corporation will have because they've upgraded the space around your station.

You can always do Planetary Interaction with modest amounts of training, or mining, which frequently is done as a corp activity.

Do not relocate to 0.0 if you have no idea how to safely pass into it with proper scouts, intel channels or you'll just be asking to blow up your ships.

I went out to 0.0 years ago and ratted drones in a Raven, but things have improved and there are many ways to make ISK these days.

Yeah, would definitely not go to 0.0 solo unless you are prepared to lose all your stuff.  Hell, just the logistics of moving several large ships and a few hundred items can be a daunting task, especially as soon as you hit the lowsec and nullsec gates.

I definitely reccomend finding a good, experienced 0.0 corp that has been around for a couple years at least.  Many will take new players if they think they are a good fit.  Myself and a friend got into a great 0.0 corp made up of several year veterans that knew the game very well.  Helped us move our things, and had a lot of good knowledge about how 0.0 operates compared to empire.  It's a different game out there, and you MUST understand that.

For timing wise the sooner the better IMO.

As for getting your stuff out there only take one maybe 2 ships out and the ammo for them do not take anything else. You do this for 2 reasons, the first being that you don't need alot of junk out in 0.0 so most of it is just wasted space out there.  Second somepeople are asses or you may just be unlucky, either way by only taking the bare minimum out to 0.0 you will have a reserve in high sec to fall back on in High sec.

Now 0.0 is not hard to live in. for the most part keep an eye on local if someone that isn't marked as blue shows up in the system get to a safe spot as soon as possible. Isk wise you can easily make at least lvl 4 mission cash in any of your alliances ratting systems. For ships your corp should have a ship replacement/reinbursement system setup if it doesn't don't go near it, its probablty a bad idea to join them.

    This.

I run a w-space corp now and it is the most fun I've had in Eve.  Being a soldier for some faceless leviathan in sov space gets really old.  In w-space you can usually make 1-200 mil in an evening then PvP or whatever you want the rest of the week.  Never being able to dock in a station takes some getting used to though.
