There are four options I want added to WoT random battles:
1) Option to only join battles that do not have artillery present.
2) Option to only join battles without tier 7+ premium tanks.
3) Option to try for battles with only a 3 tier spread vs 4 or 5 tier spread for vehicles above tier 2. (So a battle would be tier 5, 6, 7 only, or tier 8 9 10, etc. Not tier 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 like it sometimes does.
4) Option to only join batttles where *every* vehicle is in the tier spread for that battle. (AKA, when one side has a tier 1 LOLtraktor included in a tier 7-10 battle because of platooning, no fun for the team that is crippled with it).
I realize #1 and especially #2 would not go over well with the developers, but I think it would be interesting to see what percentage of the player base would play with those two options checked. Probably well over 3/4ths imho.

1) And would be the opinion of the artillery players? Besides, arty really adds dynamism to the game, in many cases only artillery can fry up campers.
2) Why is that? Lowe is pretty much on par with KT. Why are you so upset with premium tanks? Anyway, it's not gonna fly.
3) Personally, I don't care 3 or 4 levels spread. The difference is subtle. However, if enough people vote for that, perhaps developers will listen.
4) This option is already in the game - Clan Wars. Exclusively lvls 10 and 9 :-p
I have noticed that when I get steam rolled, my entire team is usually steam rolled. If the teams are evenly matched up in tiers, then the tier spread should have little impact on the overall outcome of the matches. It could make a big difference in the outcome of my own, personal fights, but even there, if my team gets steam rolled, I'm going to die because the other team is just better. However, so long as it didn't increase queue times, I'm all for more even match ups since it would make my own personal game more interesting.
As far as the other suggestions, I can't think of a good reason to say, "No", or a good reason to say, "Yes" to them. Which means if I were the developer, I wouldn't do them.
I thought this discussion was going to be about something beyond capture the flag or kill everyone type of deal. Like maybe you have to try to destroy a particular objective, and the other team has to protect it.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
1) Yea their are annoying but If you do that, arty would never get into game.

Those that bought one (like myself) paid roughly $32 in gold for it, to ease the credit grind...
With this option, Lowes and KV-5s would never get into game.
3) A 3 tier spead, with the exception of Arty and Top tier lights, would be great (Tier 5 lights are coming)
4) I really don't have issue with this. I've have lawltractor spot for arty.
Even had one get the killing blow on a the last tank (arty with low health) on the map
BTW, I've realized that arty serves as a secondary objective in the game. Look at the lights spotting for and meds trying to rush and kill it.
1) This exposes the problem doesn't it? If everyone would exclude a certain group, there is a problem with that group. FIX the group to make it so when a map starts and you see both sides have 4 arty: Now: "Oh god, this is gonna suck. I'm gonna get one shotted by a GPS sniper rifle while on the move by some dude hiding in a bush 10 meters from his spawn point" Then: "Oh, look, both sides have 4 arty, that's nice. It won't bother me because *whatever fix they do to fix arty* has been done, and now they are socially acceptable players".
2) My problem with the lowe is that there are TOO many of them. I see maybe 1 KV-5 to every 10 lowes, so it's less of an issue. The other major problem with the lowe: driven by people who haven't "learned" the game at that level yet (some of them anyways). If one side has a "good" driver in a lowe and your side has the credit card warrior newbie lowe driver, that's a major handicap to your side.
3) I was in a tier 6 tank last night with tier 10's. That's just not fun. Your only hope to "have" fun is to find the other sides 2 or 3 tier 6's and duke it out, but usually you're one shotted by arty or a lowe .
4) This one is just a pet peeve, because it sometimes affects me in a negative way (and when it affects me in a positive way, I don't mind as much.. ). But I'd still like to not have to worry about it.
1) Both sides are in the same position, aren't they? Many arties in the match? Just adjust your tactics accordingly and play arty card to your advantage.
2) The problem is acknowledged and the price will go up. I don't see many noobs in Lowes anymore. I'd say same percentage as of idiots reaching level 8 through non-premium tanks.
3) I have started driving 4502 recently and most afraid of being left alone and attacked by meds level 5 and up. In many such cases I just wish my team good luck and exit battle. Just FYI.
I just started playing WoT recently, mostly T1 and T2 at the moment (building up cash for T3) and thought I would comment on a couple of the OP's points, just with my limited experiance in game....
Point 1: As a T2 med tank and on my TD, I have been in several matches with arty in game. Granted, it is annoying to be knocked out in your hide position by indirect fire, but just an historical note, SPG's were developed to support armored units by supplying that indirect fire support while the scouts and heavier units assaulted the objective. That's their job. It would not be realistic to exclude the arty, they are just doing what they are supposed to do.
Point 3: As a T1/T2, I have not seen yet the spread in levels as some others in matches, but would agree here with the OP that it should be a 2-3 level spread in matches. I can just imagine being in a T4/T5 and getting nailed buy a T8-T10. Maybe set up like T1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10 or 1/2/3, 4/5/6/, 7/8/9/10.
Points 2 and 4 no comment yet due to my limited experiance.
As to the last comment, I would not be in the "3/4s" that the OP mentioned.....remember, a well driven "freebie" tank can still take out a "premimum", you sometimes just have to work harder at it and plan your stratagy around your opponents strenghts and weaknesses as given by the setup in the team screen.

I agree with this post completely, have thought the same. I'm about ready to just delete this game entire as I'm just getting sick of the way it is currently set up. I don't doubt others will disagree but this is to me a pay-to-win game, and I have no use for that at all.
Unlike other F2P titles, It's pay to have a slight advanage, not pay to win.
Non-SPG gold rounds just give you higher armor pen... they still bounce just as much a normal shell does.
Tho I think anyone that uses gold rounds and comsumables in a public match is stupid.
Those should only be used for Clan Wars matchs.
I think adding too many options is a BAD idea. Right now I can click play and be in a battle in a matter of seconds after I start up the game. With more options and player separations comes longer waiting times while people que up. That's booring!
I do think they should pay some more attention to balancing at the moment though. I remember too many battles in my newbi spg's where I couldnt do any damage at all even when I got bulls eyes.
