Not that simple my friend, not that simple. ANet gave an example about this. Something along being married and divorced. Maybe someone can help me out here. But think about it: Why should I pay $15 when I already have enough entertainment to kill 3 hours that I have free? I would not. That's the problem.. GW2 will only offer you 3 hours, but you'll need SWTOR for the hundreds of hours you're seeking. lol, Common Sense. It is lacking!
I dislike how Anet fans are trying to pass of GW2 as the second coming when all it is is just an MMO with great animations and a dodge button.
OH you are a clever one aren't you! Go find me a quote where ANet says there game is the best thing that has ever happen to gaming and is the second coming. I will wait right here……….Well have you found it yet?
Maybe that is how you see it, but I have never seen ANet say that. In fact I have only ever seen them say they are trying to make the best game they possibly can. They have also said they are trying to make a game for people that are looking for something different than the normal MMO. See nowhere in there the second coming.
So let’s try this again, can any TOR fan come up with an intelligent constructive criticism or is it all going to be my game is better than yours because I say so.

Nice edit, unfortunately you can read your original post and evertime it was quoted and see that you said Anet. You never mentioned their fans.
The fact that all the races get along and you fight with other servers for your pvp, wait we get along on our world but look at them over there they look like thus but they must be evil us from an alternate reality, I can tell they have the evil mustaches and beards, so kill em.
That part is a big feature im missing in the mmo world, why seperate the population by half or 2/3 if ur unlucky with ur pick.

No they can't. Opinions may vary. I am a huge GW2 follower but you won't find me flocking to a TOR forum to bash the game. The topic here is kinda sad tbh, but when you have 2 expected juggernauts heading our way you can expect this type of thread to be lively with "Nuh unh my games better than yours for reason x, y, and z." That being said you can expect the haters to also spit out crap arguments with little to support anything that can be used as constructive criticism. The hate for GW2 shown by some is so strong they tend to forget what Anet has actually claimed and what they have read fromt he fan hopefuls. I personally hope both games have success. The MMO community needs it.
Just play both? Most people dont subscribe to more than one game... and considering GW2 has no sub, people will play both.

Speaking for myself, the answer would be, why should I feel the need to play only 1 MMORPG when I am in the position to vary my gaming fun by playing several according to my mood and preference from one day to the next?
If SWTOR or TSW or ArcheAge are released, I see no reason to stick to playing only GW2, when I could play other MMO's as well.

The ease with which predictions are made on these forums: Fratman: "I'm saying Spring 2012 at the earliest [for TOR release]. Anyone still clinging to 2011 is deluding themself at this point."
GW2...can you say another disappointing/overhyped MMO like AoC, Vanguard, Warhammer:
What can GW2 offer that other MMO's haven't tried? seriously...
A living breathing dynamic world, a class system that allows you to group with anyone you want with no fear of penalty (grouping with anyone you want usually happens in classless games), a personal storyline that is tailored to your character, a very large variety of content, etc.
Should I list all of Bioware's awards? I am sure I would run out of room.
That wasn't the point, the point was just that Guildwars didn't suck, not which company that got most awards (which would be rather silly since Bioware have been around longer and ANET only made a single game before).
It is still impossible to say which game that will have most players or which will be best. And even if one game will be a lot better than the other that doesn't mean that it must get most subs either.
The only thing we can do is trying out both and play the one we think is most fun. One of them probably sound better to you right now but a MMO is a game you play for a long time and no preview will tell you how fun a game is long term.
Just play both? Most people dont subscribe to more than one game... and considering GW2 has no sub, people will play both.

Its all about entertainment value, and we're not stuck into just one avenue for entertainment here.
Sure I can spend 50 on GW2 and 50 on SWTOR for a free month, but I can come back to either depending on which one I'm in the mood to play.
Honestly like I said before, fantasy is played out, I'm excited about SWTOR, even if GW2 is entertaining for months at a time, that doesn't mean I won't want to play something else.
I dislike how Anet fans are trying to pass of GW2 as the second coming when all it is is just an MMO with great animations and a dodge button.

Eh I am done with had this been the other way around the same thing would have happened.
Casey Schreiner from G4 (The MMO Report): "I think that Guild Wars2 is going to be the next big MMO. I think it's gonna beat SWTOR. I think it's gonna be a better game than SWToR... I think with SWToR you're gonna see a lot of people sign up initially,, they're gonna find out that it's a well made game in SW universe that doesn't offer a lot of innovation, and when they see what GW is doing they're gonna be shocked."
So the man has an opinion and states it as such. Fine with me.
I don't share his outlook because A: no matter how good a game GW2 is, it is still another fantasy genre MMO in a long line of fantasy genre games. I for one am rather tired of fantasy games, and it seems quite a few of the gaming public feel the same way. So I'm leaning more twards SWTOR, or The Secret World because they offer a different venue. And B: I actually never cared much for the first GW, I'm not saying it was a bad game, but I just could not get into it like some of my friends did.
"Gypsies, tramps, and thieves, we were called by the Admin of the site . . . "
Nice edited there! Also I am not doing the same, go find my post where I am continually bashing because I do not like it and I do not want people to play it. If you look through my post you will only find a couple Star Wars TOR threads that I have ever commented in, and those were about Jedi being healer. And with that I have said my piece and moved on. I do not feel the need to bad mouth TOR like you people do with GW2, to make my choice of game seem better.
So go ahead and try to prove I am doing the same thing!
Although I still have to say still no constructive criticism just more my game is better than yours.

Examples of it would be nice.
Constructive criticism would be something that the developers could use that would make the game better. Facts with evidence to back it up on how the developers can change the game and make it better. If you want examples look through this thread so far there has not been one post with constructive criticism, it is just a bunch of opinion saying my game is better than yours because I said so.

I guess I can bite, though I have to first state, the reason there is more to complain about with TOR is because people have a better idea of what to expect, as well as a pre-conceived notion of what a SW game should be.
With GW2 there are a few design decisions I'm not a fan of. First and the one I have the strongest dislike for is insta travel. I think it will cut down on the amount of people you see just out exploring, it's one aspect of older MMO's I really loved. I'd much prefer a mounted travel system in place.
Second, W-v-W-v-W or whatever, I prefer a faction based system like SWG had in it's heyday. WIth enemies I will actually know, and guilds to actually hate. On top of that lack of focus on FFA world PVP options. It's my prefered playstyle afterall.
Third any focus on insta grouping, similar to WAR, wasn't a big fan of that as people didn't really work together, they just zerged objectives and that was that.

I don't see a lot of things that could be constructive criticism, in the sense that they could still be changed at this stage of development, some are clearly design decisions. For example, I might not like the use of portals with loading screens, but I don't see how that can be changed.
On the flipside, for a lot of rants and complaints towards SWTOR, the same applies, it can't be considered constructive criticism in the sense that at this stage they still can be changed, and some are clear design decisions (like not opting for a SWG2 model or the graphical look).
