The fact that the game is changing doesn't meen that the change is for the best, i cannot see the benefits of introducing a cash shop in a game whose economy is purely player driven...

The ideia alone of the whole ISK for game time trade was already a complete FuP.... you have people with more RL money investing it in items that would take them a couple of months to buy and giving them the advantage of injecting more money in more weaponry that they would otherwise have to work for.. instead of 5 minutes market search and bam... out of a fully fitted navy mega and again into the hull of another ...

The average ( true ) player cannot or is unwilling to afford such a stunt.. thats not even playing a game anymore, thats just .. something other than playing a game for entertainment.

You dont need to wind Eve down for the opportunity for another. There is only one so there is a lot of room for another few at the very least., after all there is room for  100s of Fantasy based MMOs.

And why wind down a perfectly good game to give an opportunity for a game that may be carp, a bird in a hand and all that....

Stale? It has just introduced Walking on stations, and soon to intergrate that with DUST the fps, how is that Stale? CCP are not simply resting on their success, they are pushing forward....

Anyways last night, Sunday night, which normally is the peak time for Eve,  I saw, at onepoint,  approx 47,000 people online.

I agree, there's so many other design concepts and features that could be incorporated into a space themed MMO that EVE currently does not have (nor likely ever will) such as ground combat, interior ship fighting, multiple people in a single ship fighting together etc that there's no need for EVE to die first.

As you mentioned, EVE continues to go strong and likely will unless of course CCP totally shoots themselves in the foot which has been known to happen in other games.
