Human Centipede 2 banned in the UK

MeridionMeridion Member UncommonPosts: 1,495

I laughed so hard it made my stomach hurt.

First the director releases a trash sexploitation/torture porn movie that gets my personal "shocking without rocking" award for shameless tries to leech some attention in a genre that is quickly losing all its taboos.

Then he intents to plague the world with a sequel, says the first part was a "ponyshow" and he will tear down any moral, ethical (and intestinal) boundary and come up with the most perverted movie since real life. With the crystal clear intention to promote the picture via "this is so brutal, its banned in 30 states".

And now the movie gets its first ban in the UK, and he admits he is happy about it although violently (and clearly artificially) protests against the censorship as a act of violence against free speech and free art and all that crap...

So far so good.

But in his flaming troll response he says that the BBFC "spoiling" content of the movie is outrageous since people will now have less urge to see his so formidably marketed product.

Comedy gold.

Parental advisory: Don't watch, Intense scenes of attention whoring.

I'm all for free speech, against censorship, etc., etc.

But it's just hard to get upset over something gross being banned.

I like horror movies, but I'm just not into the torture porn.

    Insidious was awesome, nothing gross.

    Good for the UK.

I caught my 8th grade nephew watching this and I was like, "Oh well I'm not the parent so I can't format his hard drive as punishment."

Yeah the first film wasn't good at all and relied entirely on its gross factor.  But banning a film is the most childish thing ever.

The UK does have a history of being tight wads over gore and violence, like banning Last House on the Left, I expect the ban to be repealed in the future they usually are, it might just take 20 years.

All men think they're fascinating. In my case, it's justified

Yea ,got to the part were he had the three strapped on the tables and was explaining his intentions while pointing to the dry erase board with it illustrated and was like whats the point and do I really need or want that image in my head.

I dont see some peoples "need" for free speech to show you how sick and twisted their ideas are and am starting to think that things like this are actually becoming detrimental to actual free speech with a purpose.

Its almost as if some people try to push boundaries enough, thereby throwing sticks at a hornets nest, so that the side that wants to really take away or limit your freedoms for their purposes can write ambiguous laws that lead to even less ambigous restricting laws in the future which probably would have less likely been able to get its foot in the door had not some moron like this stirred the pot.
