This has potential. But for now I cant get it to work with Age of Conan. I can see it on the desktop and works perfectly. Slides out from the side when your mouse is over it and slides back into the side leaving a little hump so you know where its at. Unfortunately, for now it doesnt do that in AoC unless I am in window mode.
Some things to keep in mind that may help. First theres a supported games list, so, you might want to start there. I believe DDO is on the list but I don't have DDO on my system anymore, so can't really help as far as testing goes.
Secondly you might want to check your hotkeys and see if theres an option where you can show OverWolf client or something... and try hitting the keys to do that in-game to see if the client pops up.
I'm not overwolf support or anything, but I would try that and see if it helps at all.
What's the business model? Before I install something on my computer in this post-idealistic era, I kind of like to know how the author is being fed and sheltered.
The video recording doesn't impact game play noticeably.
I'll be honest, I don't get the whole idea of being constantly connected over Facebook or Twitter. There cannot be that many people interested in what I'm doing in game. The in game browser is cool and the video capture alone makes the download worth it.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

If I had a facebook, I WOULD be interested in what you do lizardbones. Right now I just have to sit outside with binoculars and hope you pass by the window... . er.... eh... I mean I have to .... wait here on the forums and not spy on anyone. Whew....
I'm getting tired of all these 'social' and 'community' aps/programs/sites. It's no one's business but my own what I do on my computer and I don't want all my friends lurking about when I'm trying out some new game nor want to inform them that I'm about to take a dump or just making coffee.
This!
This app has a lot more to offer then telling your friends what you doing. Being able to use MSN, browse the internet and make ss and records videos (with you could directly upload) are good features with you could use without having to tell people on twitter or FB what your doing.
For those who like this fine hope you like it and enjoy it, hope its succes for overwolf.
But im anti FB or twitter or other social apps and i realy dont want them ingame. I very fond of my privacy.
But i wish overwolf succes with this realy as long something is free to use not forced, im fine with this, its just not for me.
I don't like everything getting linked into FB or google+.

Everything having the 'option' to link is vastly different to everything just linking to FB/Google+. I think all these in game softwares should offer the option to link to your accounts so if you so choose to, you can keep in regular contact with your friends. Then those of you who prefer the 'lone wolf' title can enjoy your game with out such social media interaction. To simply not have the option would make it worse, dispite whatever opinions on the subject you may have.
Cool program. But I quickly ran into a problem. A few of the games listed in the games supported section use Punkbuster. While playing COD Modern Warfare this evening Punkbuster kept booting me while running this program.
Great Little program but i run into a problem too , when trying to run Runes of Magic , this would crash the client before you get to the login screen , i guess runes of magic thinks its some botting tool

All great and nice except that I can't even install the damn thing.
It has been going on "Installing ingame MMORPG ingame client" for a hour already.

This is very weird. We would love to help you solve this. Can you please send us an email to support@overwolf.com, mentioning OS and hardware spec?
Thanks! Uri from Overwolf
Love it so far, been wanting something like this for a while! instant screen caps and videos!
Sounds intersting but I'll wait for awhile before trying it to see if there are any sinister alterior motives attached to it.

I've been using it for a bit (off and on) and aside from thinking all of Bill Murphys articles are swell, nothing has changed!
Looks pretty cool. Maybe I'll try it if my 2nd monitor ever breaks down
I like the concept, but have to agree with TC here. Where's the revenue stream from all this development going to come from?

Same as Falco, I was testing it with DDO though.
Can see it on my desktop, but once in game I can't access it. without tabbing out of game or playing in window.

My god... it really is evil.
Seriously though, Ilike it, even at this stage.

Must say though, it is lacking support for a ton of well known MMORPGs.... whiich is odd considering their obvious target audience.
Still, only beta I guess, they can be added.
Question is: Can I develop my own widgets for it? This framework sounds like easy cannon fodder for opening up to third parties.
I love the layout and the concept and everything but i cant add my own games/programs yet so im not bothering with it.

Just gave it a shot on Terraria. Works fine. Nifty little thing.
