Hey I found this interesting in response to your old game listed, source is from the article the original poster pasted. This is the first sentence of the article:

From the developer of the upcoming martial arts MMO, Age of Wulin, comes Darkness and Light. And no, it is not thatDarkness and Light from a few years back which eventually got canned.

 Well its no longer gameNgame thats holding the IP, its Snail games. So i think its sold and development have progressed.

Read up on this some more, I too will be watching for this game. I only have a concern on how the combat will be.. with such a diverse and nice schemed game (from what's read) I would hope it has a more skill based combat verses button mashing.

Heh. All the information was right there on that article surprisingly. One thing would lead to another, such as they have a leaked video that I guess was shared.

From what I've gathered, this is a old game Dark and Light (or something) that was shut down due to legal action. I guess Snail Games? (never heard of em) purchased it and has reworked the entire system of visuals, graphics, animations, etc (which is a good thing looking at their old crap) but kept the original concept. It's expected in 2012 as far as I've seen so far by people.

It's a remake of the old flop game called Dark & Light.

If I recall correctly, Dark & Light was an amazing saga of horror on these boards.. promised the moon in terms of sandbox gameplay, but ended up being next-to-vaporware with a very empty world, and buggy incomplete content (moreso than most MMOs these days). And if I'm thinking of the right game, they then were sued for their use of a tree generator they didn't have the rights for??

People were also very upset about the preorder "scam" used to get their credit cards when they saw the state of the game - there were tons of chargebacks, issues with trying to cancel subscriptions, etc. It was pretty ugly.

Keep on eye on it, but a wary one.

NPCube & Farlan has nothing to do with this title any more, I wouldn't keep a wary eye on it, Snail games were originially hired to help with coding and such from the original devs as they didn't have enough man power or resources for the project, played it quite a bit when it 'beta' launched, and the world was no where near empty, there was lots to do, just as allrdy stated real buggy.

I am really hoping this will hit the US, and not be like playing AION China.......but you could build castles, seige them, have tower def. seige weapons, and it is by far one of the largest worlds as the tech used to create the Mafate engine is used to make to scale virtual models of real land mass.....

This looks really freaking awesome. The graphics and all. So this is officially called 'Savage Horizon' or 'Darkness and Light'? Is there some kind of teaser site or something? This really does look promising; IMO.
