So I played at launch and was bummed non rift pvp wasnt till like 25+. Grind seemed harsh to get to the Abyss, and I remember grinding mobs for a class drop for like a damn week. Honestly, I think it was that grind for the SM water pet lvl 2 or 3 that killed Aion for me. Anyways, I have been talking with some buds the other day and we miss active open world PvP in mmo's. Blizzard seems to have ruined open world pvp. So I have a couple of questions:
Current: BDO
Looking forward to: Crowfall & Chronicles of Elyria

I must have got that pet drop 5 or 6 times on my sorc. Getting to 25 wasnt that bad, but thats always where I got burned out. So I can't really help much.
no exaggeration here at all. last night I played for less then 15 mins. I pulled 2 mobs. On second one I got jumped pvp. I healed myself, rooted mob and glided away. They guy followed me and I started pwning. He ran off and got away. I healed up, and saw him running in the distance. Followed, when i caught up it was because he was ganking some dude. I could not get heal off in time. I finished him off. I went about going to my next quest location. I see an Asmos in distance (someone new) I root, blind and turn to see another elyos there helping me. 3 or 4 hits later I am down and the other Elyos(smartly flees). I am level 42. Lots of pvp in heiron man, I am ALWAYS watching my back there.
Kinda smacks in the face your opinion on mid level pvp.
Well, here are my experiences...addressing each question in order:
-PvP for low to mid levels is dependent on gear, pretty much, twinking. Twinking is the idea of providing your character with the best possible PvP gear available to give it an upperhand while PvP'ing. (Most twinks are level 40, since the first PvP set attainable is called "Elite Guardian Centurion" set - it requires Abyss Points, which can be gained by PvP'ing, or running instances with other players in which items worth Abyss Points are dropped and distributed throughout the group. Mid level PvP is probably your best bet.
-Yes. Absolutely, no questions asked.
-I do not know, maybe Vaizel since I hear it was Asmodian dominated - Israphel is Elyos dominated. Depends on what faction you want to play.
-If the odds are against you, they will fight. If the odds are to your benefit, meaning a fair 1v1, they will probably run.
-Yes, it is worth checking back on because I am only providing you with my experience as a player, and I am sure there are people who have had much more endearing experiences...good luck!
